I've had "preparing for shipment" on my 64GB Plus for as long as I can remember and while the websites still show that, the $1 charges and tax charges to my credit card have fallen off (prom pending charges to gone).

Anyone here been through this situation and know what happens next?

Same situation here, charges are now gone. I really hope they ship this week. I wouldn't mind a delay so much if I didn't stay up till midnight only to have trouble with the apple site. By the time I got an order with ATT site it 12:45 AM. I still show preparing for shipment with est. 10/13-10/22.

I've been told that the dropped charges means we are a bit further ahead than others.

Guess we'll see 9/19...
 
Like I said before, I seriously doubt anyone who placed an order for any iphone within the first hour or 2 isn't gonna get it on launch day..

Some of you that placed the order before me still show shipping dates range after mine.. mine initially said 11/9-11/27 and now 10/2-10/13 so don't believe these dates.. until Thursday night and you still haven't gotten a tracking number, then you can talk.. :D

Can someone try to track by reference in UPS using their mobile number they are upgrading? I just tried it and a shipping label was created today that weighs 1lb! The only doubt is that it is shipping to my billing address city and state instead of the work address I assigned for shipment when I pre ordered. Does ATT only ship to the billing address despite assigning a different one, e.g. work address? The type of shipping for this label is US Next Day Air!

UPDATE: it's my wife's iPhone 6 ordered through Apple. Damnit! I got excited there for a minute. LOL

I just saw mine on UPS also, up my weight is 1.20. However I think that is still my iPhone 6 order. So yours just says 1 lbs?

Yup it is only 1lb. I'm pretty sure it's her 6. I wanted to ship it to work but apple won't allow me.
 
Tracking by phone number I was able to find my wife's iphone 6, regular, ordered through Apple.

Nothing for my 6+ ordered through AT&T.
 
My estimated delivery is 11/09/14 - 11/27/14... LOOONG ways off, however under order status it says preparing to ship..

Anyone else in this situation? I'm thinking my date might get pushed up and I might be looking at getting my phone a bit earlier. :apple:
 
I just wanted to share my two cents because 1. I think typing my story might get some of my anxiety and frustration out and 2. because I did get some pretty useful information from a family member that has worked for AT&T corporate and currently works in a retail store.

My order: Gold 6 Plus 16GB

My personal experience: I saw that the AT&T website went live before 3AM (EST) and I was breezing through the ordering process, but when I saw the immediate 14-21 business days for the 6+ I assumed something was wrong and tried the Apple site which wasn't up. The 5 minutes I wasted waiting for the Apple site before finally going back to AT&T led to extreme lagging and crashing on the site. I finally got an order through at 3:47(EST). My confirmation email said 14-21 days, then it took a while for any shipping dates to appear on the website for my order. The shipping dates have since gone from 11/09-11/27 to currently 10/02-10/13. I have also been charged the full amount of the phone. Not a hold, but a charge with the money already taken out. I bank with Wells Fargo if that makes a difference. I just signed up for UPS My Choice and have not seen a tracking number or anything.

Information that I have gotten:
1. Apparently the highest demand has been for the space grey, so those orders may have a longer wait than others. Also, storage size will also be a factor.
2. You CAN NOT cancel an online order in the store on Friday morning. Also, if you do plan on canceling, you would need to do so ahead of time because it is a hit or miss whether your upgrade eligibility will be restored instantly or within the next 24 hours.
3. Some AT&T stores will be receiving more phones the morning of launch day and some will receive none at all. Apparently it has to do with the size of the store/area.

I have no idea if all of this has already been said as it seems many of us are in the exact same boat as each other, but I just wanted to pass it along from one person to another. Personally, I think it's ridiculous that someone with a pre-order will receive the exact same phone later than someone who doesn't, period. Waiting or not. If it was going to be like that, they might as well just make everyone camp out and fend for themselves.

Same exact steps as yours happened to me. Even the order time, mine at 12:46am. Except I ordered the 6+ 64gb SG.

That's why I say we should be fine.

Just sit tight, wait a day or 2, you'll be moved up. Happened to me, ordered 12:46am PST, 6+ 64GB SG

Even though I've got a preordered in, when I check my upgrade eligibility, it's say I can still upgrade through Next or with a new 2year contact. I ordered through the Next Program a 128gb plus in silver about 10 minutes after midnight PDT and my delivery date is 10/2-10/13.

Shouldn't it say my upgrade is no longer available? I'd like to try buying one at an Apple Store on Friday without canceling my pre-order first. It doesn't seem like I should be able to, but I don't see anything preventng me from doing so.
 
Since Friday, I had a hold of 430 on my cc for my iPhone 6+. I checked this morning and that hold is now gone and no new charges. What is going on :(

it has been past the 3 day hold period which most banks release funds if not charged by then. Which means to us that our phones have not been shipped yet..:(

I say screw the shipping estimates and everything else, you will know when your phone ships when that money comes out now. You know ATT wont give you crap without getting their money first....

I ordered a SG 64gb 6+ at 1152pm(pst) and that is the most sought after model this release. Shipping from 10-2/10-13 since day one. So I am going to assume I am screwed and not getting it on launch day. My funds were released back into my bank today as well. My first and last pre order I will ever do..Hitting on the ATT girl a couple days before to insure my walk in is there from now on...lol..
 
I still have the amount on my CC.. Although it is still in pending status.. Order status says preparing to ship but dates are still 10/13-10/22.. I don't think amount disappearing or still pending is anything different.. Might have to do with your bank..

6 plus 128 GB..

Edit: order status has always been preparing to ship.. Not new.. Do not freak out..

Status: preparing to ship since 9/13
Cc pending hold for $439 gone as of this morning.
 
I ordered silver 64GB plus at 3:01EST. My ship date has always been 10/14-10/22. My original authorization dropped off, but I have a new one with today's date (16th).

Exact same scenario as my wife's 6, which still shows delivery on launch day from ATT.
