Guys I think I'm done. Just called the 877 # which I've avoided till now and it says back ordered. While I don't care that it says that necessarily, I'm just so frustrated with the FOUR different order statuses that the ONE company I ordered through is providing:

ATT.com - "Preparing for Shipment"
Premiere - "Pre-order Processing"
877# - "Backorder"
Customer Service Person says "processing."

See, that's what I don't get. I ordered mine on the 12th and my dates are 11/9-11/27. Can't be right but still frustrating that there are no updates on AT&T's side. Yet another #attfail

I feel for you man. You got your order in on "the" day ... I'm sure that high demand is to blame but why take preorders knowing you can't fulfill them and you are going to make customers angry...

I understand a couple weeks wait... but 2 months? *sigh*

You know what's funny too? I called the "store", got bumped to customer AT&T service and was told by friendly "Stephanie" that Apple had announced the phone on that day but "AT&T hasn't actually received them" ... So I asked her "then why some of my friends who went to the stores to purchase the item, managed to get them? I mean, they got for the stores but not to fulfill pre-orders?" Not preordering anything from them ever again.

I left it at that and didn't press on to "Stephanie", I know it's not her fault... I'm sure she's being fed polite PR book answers to give us angry people...

That is exactly what I order but I ordered at 11:52 pst...what time did you get your order processed text? That is great news...I am in Nor Cal, regular customer also...
I got my order processed text Friday at 3:52 PM. I know the wait sucks, I tried canceling my order and going to the apple store but they didn't let me cancel lol. Hopefully you get yours this week!

I just spoke with a CSR at Premier, he admitted that my order was placed a 12:20 PST on 9/12. but did not get processed into the que until 9:57 PST, which contradicts my confirmation email of 5:20. I never did receive a 2nd email. But he did tell me I should glad I moved up to 10-2 which is an improvement on my my initial place in line of 11-7. I am thrilled to know they waited nearly 10 hours to get my order processed. What a joke, by the way I threatened to cancel after 25 years with ATT, he calmly said he could take care of that for me, he did not push back or try to prevent me from cancelling. Boy I feel appreciated. Thanks ATT. If I did not receive significant discounts as a premier member I would be gone.

I'm not on the Premier thing but pretty much got a similar response when I asked if I could cancel at any moment. "Sure, Sir. You can call us whenever you feel like canceling" ...

I just spoke with a CSR at Premier, he admitted that my order was placed a 12:20 PST on 9/12. but did not get processed into the que until 9:57 PST, which contradicts my confirmation email of 5:20. I'm also premier and ordered on 9/12 but later during the day. My Expected Ship Date: 11/09/2014 To 11/27/2014. Should I call as well? If so, what is their number please?

Wait, you got your processed text the next afternoon at 3:52pm and still got it. I got mine at 9am... This is the prime example of first come, last to get..The order goes in line to get a device after processing but yrs processed after mine. Dam ATT, they knew i wasn't white and sent me to the back of the bus...lol...

it always does that, you need to select a different option and then tell the CSR you want to check on your order. :(

very similar to what happened to me (non premier though) placed order at 11:58pm (sept 11) confirmation got received at 12:22am and a text at 9am(which is still late for a text for such an early order)
The rep told me my order didn't get processed tip around 23 hours after I placed it. Asked if there was an option to cancel my order and she said she couldn't check if it was a possibility until i cancelled. wtf?

I don't mean to be rude to you when I say that AT&T doesn't need you but it sounds like you need them. What I mean by that is as individuals we don't matter to them. Vote with your dollars but sadly I don't think paying more somewhere else will get you a different experience.

BTW, I live in Oklahoma and the shipping information link that I got is showing the ship date of 9/22 and delivery of 9/23. Apparently it is originating out of Memphis.
That gives me a little hope. I mean I live an hour away from Memphis. I hope they have me one ready to originate lol
