Ordered a Gold 16gb iP6+ on Sept 12 12:58AM PST
Still "preparing for shipment" on att.com
And stuck in the "backorder" hell with the 877 Number.
Although att says it should be shipped 10/2-10/13

I didn't know that the Gold 6+ 128GB was the "elusive" one to get. I guess I got real lucky!
I went to local corporte AT&T corpoate store on Long Island, NY on launch morning. Got there at 5:15 am and was number 8 on line. When the store opened, I was informed that they recieved 9 iphone 6 plusses and what was left for me was one Silver 128 GB and one Gold 128 gb. I was slightly disappointed as I was hoping for the grey one but apparently those in front took what was in stock. I "flipped a coin" and chose Gold. I now love the color with a thin clear case and glass screen protector. No regrets at all!
Funny how not my first choice of color is the hardest one to get and I got it on day one. Felt sorry for all those behind me that had a collective sigh when told no more 6 plusses.

Ordered on the 13th. I tried to circumvent delivery by contacting CEO. We had contact with him 2 years ago when we had crappy android phone we couldn't return. To make story short he helped us out and we were able to return phone and I got my first iphone. My DH is A blind vet and that is why they helped us. Also we r in our 80s. I thought why not contact him again. I did and his sec called me back. I thought that was nice but she told me I would not get that type of phone until Nov. That was my original delivery time. 11/9-11/27. She did say this could change but I was really depressed. I don't know if the gold 16 GBs are harder to get or what. Anyhow I've waited this long so I'll keep waiting.

Nope i tried, ATT states their must be at least one delivery attempted before you can hold it. But another Fedex rep told me i could, thought she was new cause i have seen on here that indeed they need to make one delivery attempt... Good thing i talked to my Fedex guy on Friday and told him i will give him a tip if he can come early...lol..
But if you guys wont be there, you can put a note in the tracking that you want them to deliver at your backdoor, or something to that nature instead of front porch. I noted to leave in my garage by my inside door. Garage will be open just in case i am not there...
umm ya, i was told Apple wanted signatures but ATT is to cheap for that, since i am paying $849.00. They better not put it on my door step...
Afternoon lull?
There always seems to a big slow down in afternoon. Of course a lot of people have there phones and we aren't seeing them here now so I'm sure that's part of it. I have cut back on checking the 877 number. I only do it about 4 times a day now. Oh well here we go week number 3.

Argh I wish they can hold it for pickup
i'll be traveling from Monday morning till Wednesday night, even though someone will be home to get the package later Monday night I won't be able see my phone till Wed!!!!! Oh well, at least the real wait is over, I could force myself to stop thinking about it for a bit... I wish the fedex guy would come before 10am!Finally got my shipping email and instant message shipping notification today around 1:30pm UPS next day air so I should have my phone on Monday!!

It's over, I got my confirmation email along with tracking. Wife's and mine are both in Memphis, TN and will be home Monday. My original est date of 10/31 11/11 is gone. Keep the course cause greener pastures are just ahead.
Ps. For what I've read and experienced once you get out of the backorder hell 877# to processing even with a late est delivery date you'll get tracking in a day or so.
