AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

There are major problems with this preorder. I placed 2 orders between 3:00am and 3:40am est on the 12 for 1 64gb 6+ silver and 1 64gb 6+ gold. I received the silver on the 22 and the gold the25. They both had ship dates of 10/2-10/21. I then placed 2 orders on the 23 for my inlaws with the same phones. They both had ship dates for first to mid November. I received the first silver on the 25 and now just waiting on one last gold. Att really messes this preorder up.
If they signed up for the one of the new next plans it wouldnt come out of their account because the price of the phone is part of the bill with the next plans. they tried getting me to go to on of the next plans which is good if you get a new phone every time they come out. by the end of which ever next plan was chosen in the end you pay full price for the phone example the 6+ 128 gig price by end of the plan was 899 or 899.99. forget which, as i was not interested I have a very old grandfathered plan. so it just depends. I bought mine outright for 499

IPhone 6 Plus 128gb space grey. I received confirmation at 3:45AM EST 9/12/2014. 1st confirmation said 14/21 days. 2nd email said as late as 11/29/2014. For the last week, status update says 10/2/2014 to 10/13/2014. "Preparing to ship". When I call att, automated system says item is on backorder still as of 9/27/2014! I know several people personally and friends on Twitter that have already received their iPhone 6 pluses and they ordered days after me! One other buggy thing, I went on other countries apple sites, like Apple.ie for Ireland yesterday and the ship quote for the same phone as mine was 5 to 7 days! So much for 1st come 1st serve. I wonder if my phone has even been manufactured at this point? Disappointed in the lack of communication. Was apple caught off guard or do they use preorders to determine how many to produce? I mean they only sold 11% more than last year! And since I am rambling, shouldn't those that preordered in the first hour receive their orders before retail stores? Tim Cook should not have said the phones would be available the 19th. I certainly couldn't run my business this way. And yes there are far worse problems in the world, but as a 35 year old married guy with kids, getting my new iPhone is as close to the, "under the tree Christmas morning feeling " I can get.
I have preordered and prepaid, please ship my phone before it is obsolete

Ordered my iPhone 6 Plus 16gb Silver from At&t 30 minutes after pre-orders started. From the beginning, estimate shipping has been 10/2-10/13.
Update 9/27, 8:00pm...
At&t order status online says "preparing to ship."
#877 says backordered.
I'm so confused. Why is it giving me two different status'. What does this even mean?Anyone with the same scenario?

Planes
I notice there seems to be a relationship to the planes coming in and a upsurge in the phone deliveries. I wonder how long it usually takes.
When you get the phone in the store you have to pay the sales tax that's what I am on the next program.
877will say processed when phone shipping. U will recieve phone within 24 hours. My phone order status still preparing to ship and 877 says back ordered after 2 weeks

I ordered on line and they debuted acct to verify but dropped the debut and I was told I will be billed after I activate phone. I. Happy with it. My plan dropped 15.00 a month and it is no contract. If I pay phone off it mine. I plan on paying off ahead.
I only ordered in the store because I was told 2 days before preorder that i could have it shipped to the store. Well on the preorder day they said no it had to be shipped to my house. Yes po'ed me off. but I also have a very old phone plan (1997) that i did not want messed up by ordering on the internet and then it would not be able to be restored back. but if they mess it up then corperate can restore it back. yes been there they messed it up one before. go figure lol

Nothing, I mean nothing matters but the 877 number. Once u hear processing yr phone will come in 24-72 hours...
I meant to tell don't pay any attention to preparing to ship. Pay attention to the 877 that will change first.

Ya, they will only tell you what your order status says.....You just have to wait for that 877 number to tell you processing...
I'd recommend hitting up an Apple Store if you have one near you. I ordered thru ATT on launch day, canceled two days later and bought in store, 6 silver 64gb and 6+ gold 128gb, so if you can spend a little time going to a store, you might find faster service.

Just wait it out. AT&T won't tell you anything worthwhile.
I ordered same configure about 5:30am 9/12...finally got shipping notice today...you should get off back order soon on the 877#...then things move fast.
i signed up for next and ordered online and i have to pay the tax...$72.00. but i am in California, some states dont require tax
