I'm assuming at this point that I'll never get my 128 GB SG....
DAMN you Apple and AT&T.
You do realize that the preorders from 9/12 are just *now* shipping right? Your original post said you ordered on the 21st. At this point, I think checking everyday is just a futile effort - once you see orders closer to your date start moving, then it would be worth checking again. Otherwise you'll drive yourself even more nuts!

I've been reading this forum since the beginning and finally my phone shipped today! Got an e-mail from AT&T with tracking early evening. Don't know when it changed to processed (some time after 8am) because I was tired of listening to this backorder b****.
Ordered: 6+ SG 16 GB, non-Premier, order placed and confirmed at 2:52AM CDT on 9/12, initial shipping slot at the end of October, pushed back to backorder hell 10/3 - 10/13 like the rest of you.
Got shipping and tracking today 6:39PM CDT, 2 Day Priority Mail with USPS. Already departed Fort Worth, TX. Maybe it will be here by Friday.

Just got my shipping update from FedEx stating I had a package from Fort Worth TX, I know a lot of people are upset at ATT for some reason but I'm getting my phone on the day it was estimated so idk what's so bad with thATT. Because really Apple is the one with the supply issue.
It was always just in progress. The only time it ever changed was when they changed it to shipped w/ the tracking number.

My number starts with 9205 which is standard 3 day priority if the website holds true. Which means we won't be getting our phones until Tuesday because Monday is a useless holiday.

I've actually seen posts in this thread of people ordering around when I did that have received their phones.
Probably exceptions and premier customers. Realistically, AT&T needs to meet their shipment window for you, which you stated was the last week of October. For the 9/12 crowd who ordered as soon as the preorder started, the standard window is 10/2-10/13. I agree that it sucks to wait for the phone. However, I think everyone here is aware that the majority of preorders for the 6+ 128gb ordered on 9/12 just started shipping late last week through now. You ordered 9 days after the preorder and there are likely a ton ahead of you, so for the sake of sanity, better to hold off checking until you see some later orders start to move. Not trying to drown your fire, but just calling it how I see it. Hang in there and you'll get the phone. Otherwise if you are not trading in your old 4/4s, go ahead and find one at a store, cancel the order to get the upgrade back, and buy it in person. The various iphone stock trackers makes it easy. Just know you will lose $100 in trade in value, although I was told the $200 for 4/4s was only for "a few days" according to my premiere rep.
If I'm a Premier member.. through employee discount... but ordered through retention... I would assume I am considered a regular customer?

USPS tracking now shows leaving Fort Worth last night at 7:30 arriving Saturday. Got word it shipped last night. 6+ 128 SG from 9/12. Promised 10/02 - 10/13.
ATT true to its word. Was "preparing to ship" (back order) till I was notified it shipped last night. ATT can't ship what Apple has not yet sent them. And even Apple stores don't get told what type, color, memory of units they will get in next shipments. So I doubt Apple gives that kind of detail to ATT.
It does appear true that Apple gives it's own orders preference. So in future I order from Apple direct. I ordered two exact same phones on 9/12. One from Apple arrived 9/19, one from ATT scheduled for 10/11.

128gb/SG and they shipped it fedex 2 day, they shipped or out late in the evening, so perhaps they have shipping schedules that use different couriers.
I just woke up for work, no shipping email yet but when I checked the att website it's now showing shipped with a tracking number for USPS 2 day priority mail. It's saying I should get it on Saturday. Ordered SG 128 @ 12:56PDT.
If it makes you fell any better I ordered the same phone as you did on the 12th at 9 AM CST in store and my shipping window is 10/31-11/11.
I have been trailing this forum for a while and learned a few things
1. Shipping doesnt start until after 3pm in the majority of cases
2. They are still working on 9/12 orders
3. The planes dont seem to matter at all

About statement # 2, I know for a fact that a few iphone 6's that were ordered way after 9/20 have been shipped & delivered. I am sure they still have orders from 9/12 they are still working on, especially the 6+ models.
Also keep in mind, quite a few people that post in the forums here ranting & raving about their orders don't post updates the moment they get their phones in their hand(I was one of them in the years before ;-).

I checked last night around 1130 to midnight, the website and had a tracking number. this morning 866 number said backorder, 877 said shipped and gave tracking number and on the way to work i received the confirmation email. so, it maybe a matter of hours for you or a day. lets hope!
I finally have mine. The postwoman who usually delivers our mail was out so another carrier took her route.
He accidentally took it to the wrong place. Luckily he saw no safe place to leave it and took it back to the post office....Whew.
I'm glad they had it at the local PO when I stopped by after work.
Very nice phone.
Can't wait to give the camera a work out.
And my 64g 5s was completely full so glad to have some breathing room again.

When I logged onto usps tracking site, it showed my phone in ft worth, tx. It left @9:30pm. It is in Memphis this morning and will be delivered to me tomorrow. I had been thinking that when I received a tracking # it was just leaving China. So apparently some of your phones are on the way or already here just waiting to go through that process. Super encouraged by the movement yesterday! Hoping for more today - I know mine will still take more time (Sept 13 order) but I saw some November shipping dates get phones sent out so keeping my fingers crossed!
Only apple orders seem to be showing tracking from China everybody else shows from the sorting facility so that may be the reason why some orders take longer to show up
Any news on the gold front 10/2 - 10/13 ship date? I think gold is the new unicorn
