AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

I check my order every day, not to see if it has shipped, but to see how far back they will push the ship date. It's obviously back ordered, but still has the same ship date.

Here's a thought, tell me if I'm way off.
When I bought my 5s last year I went with the next program, because I wanted the 6+ when it came out. I'm anxious to get my 6+ because I don't want to pay another installment payment. Now, when my 6+ comes in and I return the 5s, the remaining balance on the 5s is forgiven, so you won't pay full price for the phone. Now my thought, I think At&T will hold out the longest in sending out phones to the people who are enrolled in the next program, because it's money in their pocket and less in ours. Food for thought!

Is there anyone else out there that pre-ordered and is on the next plan?

I did the same thing you did and had to a pay a little to upgrade my next. Once I paid (I think it was like 70 bucks) I still had a remaining balance that was forgiven as long as I traded in my current phone. I placed my 6+ Silver 128gb order and on my next bill, I had no charge my current phone or for the 6+. So, for me that did not hold true.

Edited to add: My 6 plus would be more expensive than my 5s so I would think if anything they would want me to start paying that!

Nothing else has changed yet so u get this feeling maybe it's a mistake. Silly I know but after waiting so long:eek:

So AT&T is not billing you for a monthly installment until you receive your 6+, even though you still have your current phone that is on the next plan. I'm not continuing with the next program, I've gone with a 2 year contract. I will still get billed for a monthly installment until my 6+ arrives.

I upgraded via the Next plan (still waiting for my 6+) and I haven't been billed the installments as of yet. I believe the installments don't begin until you receive the new phone.
 
I wonder how long it will take befor next step in process. 866 still the same (says one of my items out of stock) and no Change in any of web sites. A nervous day today. I decided I'm too old for this. :p I hope this is a new start for everyone who is waiting from the preorder dates.
 
Oooh,maybe I was a rare case. I will say I am premier and my employer discount doesnt charge activation fees and all that jazz either - so it might be just part of my discount. That cant be right, I know but just figured I'd give all the data points.

Hey, at least I am day 36-ish of waiting! :D:D

Nice! Maybe they're past the 9/12 backlog on Gold phones.

Some people were saying that it took 24 hours for the online site to update. My fiances took about 12 hours to change on the site and to get the email.

You are very close. There were several posting saying item was shipped within 24 hours of being processed on 877. I am very glad to hear your good news.
My shipping estimate is same yours. May be next time I will hear the Lady saying your phone is being processed.
 
Ok, I just got off the phone with AT&T and they informed me that I will NOT be charged any more installment payments and that my next plan was closed out. I guess the other CS rep had no idea what she was talking about. I feel so much better now.

Can you please clarify how this exactly work? Does everyone get an additional $40 credit? How did you manage that?
