I got it

My phone arrived just before noon today.

It came installed with ios 8.0 installed. I had to set it up as a new phone first as it couldn't restore from my iphone 5 backup that was had ios 8.1 installed.

I had to install 8.1 then reset the phone then set it up again. Kind of a pain.

So my 9/23 order shipping windows starts tomorrow 10/31-11/11 for both my phones.... Let's see what happens premier account...
 
I ordered my 6+ 64GB

AT&T is estimating 12/2 but I got a message my order was processed on Monday so I'm hoping 'soon.' I know Apple is cranking them out as quickly as they can but damn.

I ordered my wife's 64GB regular 6 on the same day and the ETA is 11/20..

<shrugs>

You will probably have it the middle of next week! Mine took 2 days to deliver after being processed
 
I was really hoping for word this week. Ordered 9/19, 128sg 11/9-11/27. I saw all of the preorders of that model go last week, but guess not.
 
Wow.Did not realize there was this long of a wait. Just ordered a silver 64GB 6 plus...Delivery estimated from 12/07-12/17. Wish I could cancel but I got retentions to upgrade me!
 
Update: We were requested to send proof of account funds to escalate the CC issue.
Luckily I had signed up with my bank to get daily account balance info sent to my email. I sent them Tuedays, yesterday's, and today's. It will supposedly take "3 days for review", which is most likely code for getting them more time to find another believable excuse as to why they canceled my order when they see I was right.
Can't wait for next week...#!!

On a side note, I sent another email to Randall Stephenson and his office rep called my husband within the hour. He was explained the situation and said they "will get involved to fix it". Unfortunately at this point it is hard to believe that they care about any one of us....so we will see.

Bit the bullet

Earlier today I noticed the Apple Store near me had the 6+ 128gb silver in stock, so I went into the process of canceling my AT&T order, confirming my upgrade status was returned, then called Apple. This is where the tricky part started:

I'm locked into unlimited data on my line but the line I wanted to use the upgrade on doesn't have data. After an hour on the phone with Apple and the Apple rep calling AT&T for me, he confirmed I can reserve the phone for personal pickup, cancel the data plan that was added to the line and keep my unlimited data plan once I active the phone on my line.

For anyone who has this dilemma, I would say you should go this route. It took me about an hour on the phone with Apple to get everything sorted out but it was well worth it.

I'm going to pick my phone up on Saturday!! :)
 
F--------!! After waiting 45 days AT&T cancelled my order today. After calling them I find out it's because they attempted to charge my credit card for the sales tax which failed. This means that they were probably going to ship it today or tomorrow. Because of the Chase data breach at Home Depot, Chase had re-issued any suspected credit cards invalidating all the pre-order authorizations.

After re-ordering my phone today I called back customer support to try to get my phone order prioritized. They basically said tough ****. They had a big meeting on this because of all the people that got their orders cancelled and the way they are handling it is to do nothing! How's that for customer service. What merchant doesn't at least call you or send you an email to notify you your charge didn't go through to allow you to give them another form of payment? Instead, they cancel thousands of orders. The only recourse is to re-order and get put on the back of the queue. Now my 128G SG plus is scheduled for mid-december. Thanks AT&T.

Look at iStockLive there are tons of phones out there. I'm a pleasure delayer so I can take the wait going on 5 weeks for me, no, I just want gold and silver of which there is no stock so....:mad::mad::mad:

i just got the shaft like you, and i told the lady if i treated my customers the way att does i would be fired ! so all my bitching got me a 40 dollar credit on my bill i will be leaving att as soon as i can
 
What difference makes being premier on the order processing?
What does the status "Preparing to Ship" really mean? From that status goes to backordered or What?

Looks like premier gets better ship times (shipping windows).... They claim they come from different stock then normal lines.

Found 6+ 64 SG at Apple store

My ATT 6+ on order since 9/13. I found a 64 SG which I want can I get Next at Apple store If I cancel my ATT order?
 
Screw AT&T I just walked into the Apple Strore in Peoria Arizona and got my new IPhone 6 Plus SG 64 so my long wait is over thanks to IStocknow

That is what I did after they canceled my order and could not tell me why. Got mine last Friday at the Apple Store.

Today was my 5th day in shipping window (32nd business day), still backordered.

Iphone 6+, 64GB SG, ordered on 9/16 thru Premier


Reading the forum above, i see quite a bit of people ordered after me are receiving shipping info.... AT&T is pathetic...
 
No it's easy to cancel an order, I did it while at the Apple Store, just call the 611 number from your phone, it was easy and painless and they stayed on the phone to verify that everything was done, hats off to AT&T for this part!!!

Did your upgrade get reinstated immediately?

Yes it did and the ATT Rep stayed on the line all the way through me while the Apple rep verified.....very fast and painless!
My advice to everyone waiting get alerts from IStocknow and get it faster
 
Here ye, hear ye....my phone is 45 mins from me at the USPS facility in Burmingham. Delivery tomorrow. Is it Christmas? Someone pinch me...

I feel like I need to leave milk and cookie for the postman.
