it means its preparing to ship.... No really it seams to mean there is a phone out there on a plane or in a warehouse with your name on it the receiver has to scan it, upload his scanner then ATT has to update their system, from there you will get your tracking
I noticed that as well. I gave up on the FedEx one, but the UPS service is easy and well done.

Ordered 3:05am est.
Original delivery date 10/3-10/13
Then went to backordered
Two days before 9/19 we received FEDEX tracking number, arriving on 9/19.
Shipping from Tx to South Florida.

as of 2:45 pm today 09-17-2014 I have a tracking number for iphone 6 plus Space Grey 128 gb ups air 2 day travel will arrive estimated 9-19-2014 - has full complete data and information on UPS page weight 3 lbs - I ordered on Friday 09-12-2014 at approximately 4:10am.cool:

Did you order from ATT.com? PEOPLE PLEASE POST IF IT WAS FROM ATT OR APPLE. Apple is clearly shipping earlier.
I think so, he was replying to a question asking if anyone got confirmation on 9/19 delivery ordered from AT&T website. This is good news.
this is an ATT Thread so I'm sure it's ATT why does it even need to be clarified all morning and afternoon people have had tracking and shipping info on that model of phone....ONE person possibly posting a shipment from apple is not gonna change anything either way

Ordered 6 plus silver 64mb at 1:45 am central. 15 min before launch on premier site. Received a confirmation email right away. Then an email saying 10/2-10/13. Then next afternoon the Congrats text (x2 but only ordered one phone) Then another email saying 10/24. Then yet another back to 10/2-10/13. Automated system says back ordered. Website says 10/2-10/13. Phone rep said both backordered and 10/2-10/13. Dont think he knew what was going on. Then I see people post they have tracking numbers and ordered after me. UGH!

I'm holding out with hope for now, but if I still haven't gotten any indication of shipment in 24 hours I'm going to start feeling pretty bummed.
It seems like a lot of people who snuck on early haven't received anything yet, did you get a confirmation from premier by any chance? That seems to be a holdup as well

I ORDERED AT 1219 PST... 64GB IPHONE +....
I go through premier... Was on hold for about 50 minutes... When I got someone I ask for the most up to date info. She told me that my phone is in the warehouse and being assign my phone number. My dates have been 10/13-10/22. On Sunday it updated to 10/02-10/13... She also told me that it was just waiting to be picked up by fedex...
I hope she was telling the truth...
Im getting a little optimistic...

What really sucks is the longer I have to wait past Friday, the less my 5 is going to go for on eBay - thanks AT&T
If I don't get it by Friday I'm contemplating calling to try and get the $40 upgrade charge waived; it's not a Pre-Order if I don't get it when it launches - it's a backorder for a sold out product at that point
