Wow, that's awesome. Jelly. I ordered 9 hours before you did the exact model. When did you get a confirmation email?
Obviously I can see the logic, but quite frankly AT&T has such little good faith with me and most of the rest of us that we still wouldn't be shocked if they managed to screw it up somehow.
In other words if I thought highly of the company I wouldn't sweat it at all.

I ordered a SG 6+ 128, i'm in St. Louis so I hope our phones are on the same flight in
(I don't expect to see mine this weekend). 
I spoke to about 4 different people. No one knew. All anyone could tell me was what was showing on the order tracking page that I am able to see.
However a common reasoning was that AT&T is taking precaution with promised dates due to issues in the past and therefore padding estimated delivery times because of this. I guess they'd rather set an expectation and surpass it than set an expectation and fail to deliver. I get that logic but at the same time find it frustrating. I'd rather be pissed off if after 9/19 when it doesnt arrive than be pissed off all days leading up to 9/19 and THEN being pissed from 9/19 until it arrives.
AT&T reps are working round the clock to feed information that's basically there for you to view anyway (they don't have inside track on latest news usually). Obviously, this being a record order for most carriers....it won't be perfect. AT&T, I would assume has a much larger order base than all other carriers. This is just pathetic to assume it's going to be a well oiled machine. Too many factors to expect a streamlined process. Lighten up
Even though I'm still pessimistic about getting the phone Friday; seeing these flights come into Louisville does give me some hope as both my 4 and 5 shipped from there to Orlando.

I ordered the same phone but I don't know about this guy-- he also posted the same thing on the UK forum so I'm not sure if he really ordered through AT&T.
I was hoping the same thing! (Los Angeles here) I have noticed that all iPhone 6 orders (not +) are being sent UPS and all iPhone 6+ orders are being shipped FedEx. Maybe California is the exception
Wow that is amazing, I sure hope nothing happens to my plane..lol..At this point if I had to choose, I would pick my plane go down in a month then my plane that has my iphone tonight...lol..

as of 2:45 pm today 09-17-2014 I have a tracking number for iphone 6 plus Space Grey 128 gb ups air 2 day travel will arrive estimated 9-19-2014 - has full complete data and information on UPS page weight 3 lbs - I ordered on Friday 09-12-2014 at approximately 4:10am.
The phone only weights 1.4 pounds, do you have a pic to confirm this?

I'm a new customer so I can't create an account to see if there's any different info other than just going to att.com/orderstatus. Still showing "preparing to ship" and the pre-auth on my cc disappeared this morning sometime. Tried searching on Fedex and UPS but can't find anything for me. I'm ready to give up.

My date on a 128GB + space gray ordered by 12:13 PT was bumped up today to 10/2-10/13. No tracking number. Not hopeful. Ordered through premier. It's crazy that people who ordered after me are getting theirs first. I just don't understand.b
We have been seeing a lot of iPhone 6+ ordered from AT&T get shipped today, a good sign.

Apple fans hoping to skip the iPhone 6 line on launch day were shocked to see preorder times plummet within the first hours of what Apple dubbed a record breaking weekend of preorder sales. Many started with shipping estimates of 7-10 days or worse for the iPhone 6 Plus, but if you ordered through AT&T, your shipping times may have just improved.
AT&T sales reps say the company has moved up shipment times on some orders by pulling stock from different regions that would normally be sold in-store.
As a result of the adjustment, some preorders are now shipping in time for arrival on September 19th.
One tipster informed Cult of Mac that their iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB originally showed a ship date from AT&T for 14-21 days. It is now showing arrival on the 19th. Another Cult of Mac staffers shipping estimate dropped 10-15 days, after originally being slated for late-October delivery.
Weve reached out to AT&T to check if shipping estimates will continue to decrease over the next few days, but in the meantime you can quickly check if your iPhones shipping status has changed with this UPS tip.
