AT&T Pre-order status

So my status has been updated from the link in the confirmation email to "Pending" when it has been showing "09/17-09/18" shipping for the past five days. Silver 64 gig ordered at 12:23 am on the 12th :)

I just now logged into att.com and went to "My Orders" and it shows a tracking number with Fedex.

Estimated delivery :
Fri 9/19/2014 by 3:00 pm

Same thing for me. And to make matters more confusing, I just realized that the order numbers on the Business Direct site and the attached.com my orders page are different. I really hope I didn't somehow order two of these damn things. I only clicked the place order button once.
 
can someone bump the spreadsheet. I want to update it and see if anyone with a 9/23 to 10/03 date has gotten tracking numbers.


Also my order page completely just changed and now it shows in progress as opposed to processing shipment
 
Ok here's my pathetic gripe. Barring a natural disaster I'm getting my phone Friday via UPS. (Given there is a tropical storm in the Atlantic, & I'm in FL.
Anyways, my UPS driver 99% of the time delivers to my house around 7pm. Should I select to pick up the phobe instead. I'm off work anyways.

Nope, most likely it will end up on the truck and you will have to pick it up at the hub AFTER the driver gets back. I would just wait it out.

I tried to do this with the 4s, I ended up not being able to get my phone till the following Monday. It sucked. I would recommend against it.

The whole point of the UPS pickup option is that they don't sort the package for delivery....meaning it doesn't get loaded in the truck.

Source: I worked for UPS in the sorting centers that loaded trucks many years ago.
 
Here's a question for anyone who pre-ordered with AT&T Next: When you pre-ordered and paid the tax was it deducted from your account as a hold or as a charge? Are you/did you have to keep that amount in your account for a few days?

This blows. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal but how are people who ordered the exact same handset after me already getting their orders shipped while mine sits in "preparing shipment" limbo?

They charged my debit card for the amount. No holds or anything and it's been there ever since I ordered it
 
My 6+ 64gb SG is still set to ship in October 1st week. Honestly, due to all the issues with this new NEXT program and my bill I almost don't want it to ship.. just so I can get in line early friday morning so I can pick it up in store, cancel my preorder, and make the changes I need.
 
Appreciate the quick advice. Yea I could definitely screw myself.
Well so much for delivery by the end of the business day.... 7pm.

The tax was actually deducted from my account as a charge, then after 3 days the funds magically reappeared. My phone (plain 6) is still scheduled for 9/23-10/2, so I'm still hoping for another bump. I assume the tax will be debited again then.
 
My ship date is slowing bumping up. went from 10/31 to 10/13 and now 10/02. I hope it gets bumped up again. Cant wait to test it out. Its been 2 years since I had a iphone.

I hear ya. I'd be ****** if I ordered when preordering started, & get an eta of a month(s).
My wife woke up and ordered our phones, so I wasn't optimistic she would be successful. Had to provide her with a tip sheet. ;)

Yes, I agree that is the point. But i have tried to have packages held at the hub but make its way onto trucks in the past. Then i wouldn't be able to pick them up till after 7. A few times i was able to have them diverted to a UPS Store, but it cost $5.00.

The rep would say there are no guarantees. They can only put in requests. Can you elaborate on how this works?
 
Shipping Method

Just curious about the shipping methods. Are the IP6 and IP6+ going out on just whatever shipper ATT decides? Meaning my IP6 is now coming FedEx, could the IP6+ be coming UPS?

and just now status changed to shipped...via Fedx... delivery 9/19

will get mine on Friday ... good thing too... will be taking my 4s for my discount ... whew ... done and done :)
 
Am i the only one with a 10/13-10/31 ship date for the iphone 6 16gn spce grey??? Everyone is getting a launch day shipment and im soo jealous..

I ordered on Sunday at 08:00 PST and my Premier status is saying Processing with and expected ship date of 9/23 to 10/02.

Thoughts on when it will actually ship?
