AT&T Premier: Ships in 14-21 days?!

I ordered around 5am Central this morning and the email confirmation says delivers on October 14... When I check on the status website reads: Pre-Ordered Item: Ships in 14-21 days

Anyone getting the same message?

The earlier you ordered, the faster it ships. This was to be expected... it's a first come, first serve basis.
 
I have the same thing. ATT better not screw me on this. I only ordered through them cause Apple.com was down.
 
I see the same thing, yet I was absolutely one of the first people to get my orders in. I imagine this is some sort of canned information - I'd still expect them to show up on the 14th for those of us who ordered with 10 damn minutes of the site finally working.

Out of curiosity, does ANYONE see a range sooner than the 14-21 that everyone seems to be seeing?

My confirmation e-mails all say:
Your iPhone has been reserved and is expected to be delivered on Oct 14, 2011.

But the Premier site says:
Pre-Ordered Item
Ships in 14-21 days

So waiting the few hours might now cost you a week or two. Always buy from the source.
 
I ordered my 4 from att last year also. And I think I remember the shipping time was delayed as well...not sure though. I ended getting the 4 a day early. I hope it's the same as last year

I'm getting mine on the 14th, but I ordered directly from apple with a conf email at 12:50am
 
how the *** is this possible, they should have plenty of units, this is a joke!
 
All ATT orders state this. You will receive your phone on the 14th
 
I ordered mine as soon as they were released at 3 AM, and mine said October 14th delivery.

Then I woke up to being flagged for identity verification, ran around on the phone with a bunch of people who had no clue what to do, and when it finally got sorted out, I asked if I was still going to receive it on the 14th and they said they had no idea, which I took to mean no, I'm now likely bumped into the 14-21 day window. Haven't received any confirmation email or anything from AT&T since straightening it out a few hours ago, and can't use my order number to check the status on AT&T's site until 24 hours pass by.

So as of right now all I've received is an email to verify my identity, an order number, and a verbal confirmation that my credit check was fine and my identity was verified. Other than that, I'm pissing into the proverbial wind. No idea when I'll be getting mine.
 
Same thing here order conf says on 14th but when I check status it says 14-21 days I hope not that would suck!!!
 
AT&T had/has a claimer that they are at the mercy of Apple and the actual shipment of the phone will vary. Of course it is worded differently, but that's my interpretation. Honestly, I got through twice on AT&T's website, but I cancelled during the process due to plan discrepancies. However, I understand everybody's grief! :)
 
AT&T order status page is down for maintenance I checked maybe they are correcting there system I got my order in at 5 a.m. eastern time and i see the 14-21 days ship date
 
received a confirmation email at 1:51 am PST ..
now state 14-21 days also ... this is really fark,,
the website didnt load till around 1.40 am ... :mad:


Let c how they did on their "4G" speed...
 
Mine said the 14th also, but I haven't checked it today. Went through about 2:10am(pst) last night. I still have a "reservation" with apple, so I'm considering canceling the premiere one and getting it direct from apple.....
 
I just chatted online with premier support, and they said that since I ordered it this morning (6:30am central) it will arrive on the 14th. I also show 7-21 day shipping on my order status, but the rep said this doesn't matter.

Oh!... I didn't realize that the AT&T site was your only option to pre-order from!

Always order from apple before carriers!
 
I just ordered my second one (for my brother) from Apple and it says it'll be here on october 14, weird AT&T takes longer
