AT&T's goal is to make unlimited data users decrease over time, as that option as a whole has been completely deleted/replaced. The only way you could go back to ultd data is to get grandfathered in or extending the contract.
 
I dropped mine the day they allowed people to do so, and I have yet to regret it so I think you're wrong.

That was in June of last year, and I've yet to go over the 2GB limit, so I've saved $5 a month for 12 months - $60. The way I see it, if I ever go over (which I doubt I ever will), it's $10...and the amount I've already saved will cover that. In the end, I'll still always be saving money.

I'm pretty sure it's an extra $15 if you go over. Smartphones are taking more and more bandwidth these days and in the future, you might just start going over your 2 GB.
