I was ok with it up until "so basically you are saying your company is worthless" you put words in his mouth that he did not remotely imply. however, you were frustrated with att, not just over this but their service period, so i though ok.

but the douchy thing to do was post this transcript for the world to see, what if this guy takes heat for this, what if a news outlet picks this up and runs with it? what if he gets fired because his boss takes heat for bad press and its gotta go somewhere. would that all be worth the fact that you got a huge dose of life today and could not handle it.

A few weeks ago I got stuck standing in line behind this woman at the returns desk at Target. She was complaining that she wanted a full refund on a damaged product that they stopped carrying 6 months ago, she did not have a receipt, she was not the original person who bought the product and it wasn't even purchased in the same state.

for 10 minutes she yelled at the Assisted Manager for a refund, but as the manager and associate explained to her, this product was not in the system and their for has no value.

This associate was getting yelled at by this customer, even though they have no control over the internal system. Some people just don't get it.
 
I couldn't even imagine being a chat rep for ATT today. I am glad I don't work in retail/customer support.

Just imagine how much crap people must have given the agents today.

It's not like these agents were the ones that bought the hardware to run ATT's commerce platform. If you could get those people in a chat, maybe you can give them some attitude :p

Honestly, you were putting pressure on him. By you saying, "I should have gone to Verizon or Sprint," you deserve the blame and not him. But I do believe that ATT and Apple b messin wit us custamerz!
