Can those of you who now have FaceTime over cellular post what city and or state you're in so that we can get some idea of whose getting it and whose not...thanks

Not working down here in the Ft. Lauderdale area. iPhone 4s. 3 gig Data plan, did a hard reset as well as turning phone off and on. Both times, I went into the Facetime settings I go to click "Use Cellular Data" to ON and I get the blue pop up to call AT&T yada, yada..

I must be missing something here, as I don't even HAVE a toggle to turn off or on at the bottom of my FaceTime settings screen. Advice, anyone?

(I have an iPhone 4 btw)

Facetime over cellular is NOT supported on the iPhone 4. Requires 4s or later. That's why you don't have any switch to try to toggle on.

No luck here. iPhone 5 with 6.1 beta 2; grandfathered unlimited data (family plan with two lines); Suffolk County, NY (east end of Long Island).

There's no LTE out here whatsoever. I wonder if there's a correlation between those successful enabling FT over cellular & presence of LTE??

I am on a limited plan on AT&T with the iPhone 5. Still not able to select FaceTime without getting the popup telling me to call or go to the website.

Since they are loosening up on their restrictions maybe they should also allow tethering on all limited plans rather than just 5GB...

Dallas, TX: I am able to turn it on and use it now.

I've just tried and it doesn't work yet. Still toggles to OFF a few seconds after it finds ATT towers. Have done the hard reset twice.

North Dallas...iPhone 4s, Grandfathered unlimited on a family plan.

I use Facetime a lot so this would be great for me.

Yay! Worked for me here in Washington State on my grandfathered unlimited plan with my new iPad Mini.

First enabling FaceTime cellular failed, but after turning the iPad Mini off and on, FaceTime cellular was already enabled.

I had earlier submitted a complaint to the FTC about this FaceTime (and Mobile Hotspot) being discriminated against for unlimited plans, so I'm happy this point is resolved. Still waiting for the Hotspot on AT&T...

iphone 5 here in huntsville,alabama..Unlimited data.. no go for facetime over cellular. Its also notable we do not have LTE here in huntsville.

In Portland, Oregon. Mine started working on Wed morning, Nov 21 2012. My wife's hasn't started working yet. I re-synced her phone, re-powered, but still no dice. It looks like AT&T is staggering the roll-out of this capability.

I live in NYC, but currently sit in Gilbert, Arizona just outside of Phoenix and I can confirm that my FaceTime switch is turned 'ON' and I have a grandfathered unlimited plan. This after a reboot, of course, although I didn't see if it was turned on before doing so.

Either way, FT over LTE!

:)

Got mine and my wife's iPhone 5's to work here in Seattle but it took a hard reset to do it - the regular power off, power on didn't do it. The Vulcan death grip did.

Chicago suburbs (west). Appears to work after turning the phones off then on again. The switch was toggled to "on" after a restart for both mine (grandfathered unlimited) and my wife's (2GB) iPhone 5s. Prior to restarting trying to turn it on said we didn't have the appropriate data plan. I haven't used it yet though.

Not working in Orange County California

No luck.
Orange County, CA
iPhone 5 running 6.0
Unlimited Plan

The first restart I did showed it turned on under cellular, but not under facetime settings. I tried a call and it didn't work. Now that I've been restarting it more, it doesn't even show on in the cellular settings as it once did.

You don't understand.

I don't want to pay my carrier for any minutes, any long-distance crap, any bonus features like caller ID or voicebox.

I want to pay them for one thing and one thing only: data. Cheap data.

How I use that data, including making phone calls, is my business.

Case in point: an amazing voice-only plan is like $50+ a month. A 5 GB data-only plan is $35 a month.

Lol k good luck with that.

Detroit, MI hère - iPhone 5, iOS 6, Carrier AT&T 13.0 with no change in abailty to Facetime over Cellular. Hopefully later today. :/

It's working for me in Sacramento, CA on both of my iphone5's with grandfathered unlimited. Just rebooted and it worked like a charm.
