Do you really need to ask us??

You KNOW what the right decision is. :D

Sell it on Ebay!!!! :D:D
+1

Ironic story to hear because I just heard "Guilty Conscience" by Eminem & Dr. Dre on my iPod touch.

If they pissed you off so much (and these carriers usually do that with me), try to make an extra few hundred bucks selling it online. Say $900-$1000 on eBay. If AT&T slaps you with the $700 charge, you still walk away ahead.

In this world, very few people really give a ---- about anyone.

Just look at this as a Catch-22. You can sell it and make money or agree with the many saints here and keep that good karma flowing by returning it.

Sell it on eBay. You'll make more than you would even if AT&T charges you the $600, so profit either way. Half the people saying return it would probably do the same thing.

There is no way you will be able to keep that phone without them charging you. More importantly, they'll probably charge you the full price of $700-800 or whatever it is since you already have a phone on your contract.

So, keep it if you want, but know that they will eventually charge you for it, and it may be a lot more than you expect.

Keep it for a week. If they dont charge you... Well keep it  but if a person reports they didn't get it and they see it's online they COULD block the imei

Actually, not sure how this may vary from state to state, but does anyone here remember the case where a bank credited someone's account with a large amount of money? The person went on a spending spree and was then held immediately responsible for the repayment of that money. The point being that just because you accidentally rec'd a phone (and in your case, it may be due to what you initiated), doesn't mean it's a freebee.

I don't think it's worth the Ebay fees and hassle (what if the buyer does a charge-back on their credit card and you get no money?) with the high chance you'll have to pay the full price of the phone.

I would return the phone, sooner or later when things slow down, they are going to discover that a phone was shipped to your address and you did not pay for it.

I suppose the right thing to do is to give it back. Though i love how everyone thinks they're going to find out and charge you somehow. They've got a better chance of charging your next door neighbor who's account you ended up in when pre-ordering it. I mean, its alright for AT&T and Apple to screw you, but not you them. In all honesty, stick it to the man, and if you really wanna be a good guy and get your karma, give it to the orphanage down the street.
