Howdy, first post here...
...I have a 3GS and work in downtown San Francisco and AT&T's signal is atrocious. Starting around 9am, the signal begins to switch back and forth from 3G to Edge, and around lunchtime I often get the No Signal message. I am considering switching to Verizon or Sprint for the 4S, but am grandfathered in at AT&T under unlimited data. Am wondering if anyone thinks the new antenna design in the 4S will help AT&T's signal.

It might, but AT&T's towers might be over tasked in your area...

Well, it's hard to say. But I can tell you this - I've used my current iPhone 4 in San Francisco (was there a few months ago) and had no problem.

So, one would think a better antenna would be icing on the cake.

I would not give up unlimited data if they tied me to an anthill naked and poured sugar on me.
