AT&T Site Email confirmation?

ARGGHHHH! Heads up guys, I went to go check my credit card statement online to see if i had the $1 charge or any indication of pending charge from AT&T and stupid ****ing Capital One locked my account for suspicion of fraud due to two high dollar purchases in quick succession (two iPhone 4S's).
The transactions were DECLINED. god ****ing damnit. I highly suggest you check your accounts to make sure you too haven't been flagged for suspicious purchases.
I'm going to be so pissed if this somehow ****s my orders!!

Yep, just received the email from AT&T saying they were unable to verify my funds. This isn't an issue of lack of credit or funds (I have $6,000 available credit limit, zero balance). I can only imagine how many accounts are going to be flagged for suspicion of fraudulent activity with all these iPhones being ordered! Thankfully, my orders were NOT cancelled. AT&T gives a number to call to update the account with a different payment method (or in my case, same exact method because i've already called Capital One to verify I did indeed make those purchases so my account is no longer flagged). Hope this helps

I ordered about two hours ago from AT&T and have not received any email updates.
I remember last year with the iPhone 4, I bought it from Apple the day it was available for pre-order and did not receive a confirmation email for over 30 hours!
So I'm not too worried since this could be a similar scenario. The only worry I have is that I ordered through At&T this time and not apple.

Sounds like the early orders didn't get emails yet- the email server was probably overloaded and lost some emails. Since my card was charged, I know the order went through. I just hope AT&T knows to send me a white 32GB.

Checked my CC after reading this thread and have both a $1.00 pending charge from AT&T followed later by a pending charge for the full amount. Ordered through AT&T site and within a few seconds received a confirmation e-mail:
"Thank you for your recent order! Your iPhone has been reserved. Your order is expected to be delivered on 10/14/11*. You will receive a confirmation email when your order is ready to ship."

Yes, same situation here. Order went through at 4:55 a.m., never received an email confirmation, just an order number when completed ordering process. Now my AT&T account shows the order as "processing."
hm kind of worried now. my CC shows the $1 pending charge from apple but not at&t. i was able to get the order to go through with at&t early in the morning and only managed the reservation with apple. i hope i don't end up with nothing after all this. going on f'n 2 hours of sleep ahhhh! 😀
ok update. my chase cc denied at&t's charge, but apple's $1 was still pending. called them up, they cancelled any at&t and apple charges so i could run another order, this time through apple, and it went through successfully. the charge shows up on my cc now whoo hoo!

Apple's site kept failing at the AT&T confirmation step, so for grins I tried AT&T and was able to place the order right away, this was about 1:45 am Pacific Time. 64GB in white. It made me trade my i4 unlimited data plan for the i4S unlimited data plan (same price, $30, and will officially transfer as soon as my i4S is activated). I did it all on the first try through AT&T, got the confirm e-mail and I just checked my credit card and there is a $1 charge from AT&T. It went through smooth as silk.
My e-mail states it is expected to be delivered on 10/14. Be sweet if I got it a day early like the i4.

Just order from one place they are not Gunna sell out in the first hour....... Ordered at 7 am.. No wait on apple..... What's the big deal. And omg it delivers the 14.. If you order in two places both will be cancelled and now you really will get nothing.. Till later. But big woop.
Just checked - I had a $0.00 charge from AT&T followed by a $1.00 charge from AT&T seconds later. A few minutes later than that the full charge for the phone appeared on my account.
I received a confirmation email that my order was received moments after it was placed, and then moments later a second email that the order has processed and was sent to the warehouse for shipping with delivery on 10/14/2011.

I went through the Apple Store app & it took about an hour or so, AT&T's site was getting hit 1000X harder so you should have a few hr delay
I ordered from ATT because Apple was being bombed at the time. No confirmation e-mail or order status yet. I did get my order number though. I called and it said it was backordered which is fine because I doubt ATT has an advanced pre-order system in place.

I had the same problem as some people with the credit card company declining my charge when ordering through ATT... I tried to call the number listed, but the number is having technical support issues so I just ordered on apple.com

I used the at&t upgrader app this morning 7:45am central. Took 5 minutes. Got a confirmation email within a minute. Hope it all works.

Got my second email from at&t... Pulled up my bank account and the full amount of the order including tax has been put as a hold on my debit card. Presumably the hold will process and post to my account (debit) once the phone has shipped. I had my taxes figured out within a penny so everything seems right at the moment!

I never got the first email but got like 4 of the second email saying it's been processed and going to the warehouse. However my screen shot of the confirm page has all the info from the first email. My credit card shows the funds are being held and I checked my upgrade availability and it's showing 2013 so looks like I'm all set now let's hope att delivers at least by launch day.

I got the same email as ccubed34, eventually, and AT&T charged my account for the full amount. So, looks like everyone who didn't get their confirmation emails right after ordering still had their orders go through just fine. Their email server must have just been destroyed by all the traffic.
