you are sounding remedial..Im pretty sure i know how att operates since i have had the original and iphone 3g..

and I will be in line at 7am to get my pre ordered iphone.. how will it be hard to get one.. your just jealous your not getting one hahaha,,

also i know the branch manager and 3 employees that work their.. im sure i will be alright ..but thanks for trying to rain on my parade .. it didnt work

So I haven't seen any posts about AT&T saying anything like this to anyone else so thought I'd throw it out there. When I pre-ordered my phone the ther day at my local AT&T store they told me that mine is reserved and I can come anytime on the 19th. He even suggested I wait until later so the rush is over... Said the phone I ordered is mine and it's guranteed all day. Anyone else hear this? I'm planning on showing up at 7am anyway... Don't want to take the chance.

I think people are expecting way more of a rush than there is going to be ... Not too many people are excited about the iPhone 3G

Actually, it's 2 X the phone in a lot of ways. People not excited are the ones not eligible for upgade pricing, or can't afford full list price. I think even at the full $600 it's ALMOST a deal. More than 1/2 price of a Mac Book, and use it ALOT more often.

Why deal with ATT anyways? It's an Apple product so if ur going to pre order the phone then u should just have done it from Apple like I did. They had 2 choices in choose a store you want to go wait in line for god knows how long or ship it and delivered on the 19th. It took me less than 5 minutes to do. I chose the shiping option because I've done the early morning line thing for the first 2 and its just not worth. I didn't have to interact with anyone and it's painless. I'll have it by noon because that's when all my Apple products usullay show up.

Well good luck to you guys and have fun worrying about if your phone will actually be at the Att store the same day whether you pre ordered it or not.

Why deal with AT&T? Besides that it is going to be your service provider for the next 2 years, I can choose to take a 3 minute drive to my AT&T store or an hour and 20 minute+ drive to the Apple store. Hmm, tough choice...

Again my post was not a distance thing. I think it's just easier and less of headache to order from Apples website and pick the ship option and you will have your phone the same day. If people can't wait for a couple extra hours to get a phone then those people have issues. It's just a phone and the third one. It's been like this the last 2 years and to me it's just not worth getting up at the crack of dawn to wait in line for a phone.

I also bet the majority if the people that get up early and camp out complain about black Friday when people raid the malls for sales at 4 am.

At&t is my service provider too, I would just rather do my own thing because I know more about what to do as far as setup and plans go. You pick it when u pre-order it.
