I just got off of the phone with an AT&T CSR. I asked to have my 2 upgrade fees either waived or credited. She checked my account and was happy to issue a credit for 2 upgrade charges, which amounted to $80.70. I received a text confirming the credit immediately. Now, that's service.

Yeah. They removed all of my upgrade fees this morning when I called. AT&T has really stepped it up in the last week. They gave me family text messaging for 6 months for free for staying with them instead of leaving. Impressed.

No strategy necessary, in fact, you don't even have to bother calling. I sent a quick 2 sentence email through their website and received a reply within an hour. It was simple. :)

sounds good but how u guys do that?

you guys bought the phone in att /appe store? or order via the phone? thanks:D

I called but they did not want to waive the fee. Explained about my good payment history and that last week I was " contract free" and could move to Sprint because of the truly unlimited data but decided to stay with AT&T.

They transfer me to another department and they remove the fee for my unlimited messages until May, 2013.

$20 x 6 = $120. Not to shabby.

if you return the phones, do the fees get waived?
If you return within 3 days then yes the activation is waived. If you return / cancel within 30 days the activation and any usage fees for voce and data stay and if you don't return the device then you also owe the $325 ETF.

No, not too shabby at all. Good for you! :D

I tried calling as well and they were only able to credit one of the two upgrades fees on the account. Oh well, better than nothing. :)

Couldn't get my upgrade fee waived because my next billing statement is already pending :( but the girl did credit me $36 to offset the fee. :)

My upgrade fee was waived last time when I upgraded to the iPhone 4 as well. I've always had great service with AT&T's representatives.

Just called att 15mins ago. Looked up my account and they waived it for me. Also sent me an email about credited to the account.

howa re you guys accessing the chat ? it doesn't show as any but the "data support" as available. can someone link me ?
