Probably a coincidence, if you had good cell signal when you switched wifi calling on the phone wouldn't have switched to wifi calling since it only uses it when signal is weak.

AT&T currently only has it set to switch to wifi signal if the cell signal drops below a certain threshold.

We need a hard switch so we can control this. All this time waiting and ATT STILL has control over the darn thing? NOT GOOD.

Oh I have almost no service at my house, I'm lucky to get one bar (or dot) when I'm on the upper level of the house, I live in a valley

Remember wifi calling/text does not mean you can call/text anywhere for free since your using wifi. This is just to help with making calls when the at&t network does not have a good signal in your home or office and there is wifi near by. Wifi calling does count against your minutes/texts.. So you can not call Australia from the USA unless you want to pay the call rates.

I wish it would switch to wifi whenever you are on wifi. The calls are so much clearer over wifi.

T-mobile and sprint I think default to wifi calling if switch on. Wifi calling still counts against your minutes still.

I just was able to enable Wi-Fi calling in Minneapolis. I was not part of the beta before and I have an Unlimited Data Plan. Is anyone else seeing that this is live now?

Thanks for the heads up! It's live here in NY/NJ. I'm on the UDP also; never on beta.
