Recommend - I have had a few complaints. But in the end Amazon has made me smile. I bought Like New MBP - its was perfect. There is a thread about Amazon Warehouse Deals

I follow Amazon Warehouse deals and they have not had a ATD this low for a while. Normally they dont even have any for sale. They will go quick. They rolled these out at this price yesterday. FYI

See this thread concerning Amazon Warehouse:

I'm typing on the 13" 2011 MBA that I purchased 2 days ago from Amazon Warehouse, in perfect condition and it included the original retail box. 11 week old according to coconut battery and serial number was not even registered.

Most people will get the original retail box but YMMV.
Some people have had luck moving the warranty start date to the date you purchased the "like new" product from Amazon.

I would not hesitate one bit to buy from Amazon Warehouse, if you don't like it for whatever reason, free returns!!

Very interesting. I've had awesome results with Amazon, and their returns are great! Fast and smooth process. I'll ponder it for a bit. More than likely I'll overnight it for $3.99 with my Prime Account. Hope it's there if I decide to.

I bought early 15inch high end MBP for 1330 - had a few problems (no ilife and missed delivery date by 2 days) they took forever to resolve problem. Ended up paying 1050 - originally retailed 2200 - perfect condition.

How did you end up paying 1050 in the end, if I may ask? $280 in compensation credit sounds like a lot.

Prices change all the time - i literally check Amazon Warehouse - 10 times a day for products. Never seen ATD this low.

I might buy one right now - always can return - normally you cant find a reason for them to pay return shipping. :)

Well maybe it'll dip to $800 or $7xx. I sold mine last month for around this price, now I'm missing it. So, so tempting...

A lot of these are popping up locally @ BB open box. They should be around the same price w/ tax assuming you're not in NY or CA. It's much easier to return in that case than with amazon. That said, this is probably the 2nd best option and much better than risking say ebay.

None in my area (at least on online inventory). I'll call both of mine tomorrow that carries Apple products to check.

Care to share where you see some at?

On ATD BB Open Box might be better deal - there current retail price - 10% - I think there is also a coupon valid right now for open box Apple items at BB - $100 I think - not sure if it applies to ATD

Online inventory at BB is a joke BTW

    Coupon says:

    "Take an additional
$100 off all open-box MacBook,® MacBook Pro,® MacBook Air,® iMac,® laptops, netbooks, desktops, and all-in-one computers currently priced $600 or more."

    Current retail price: $979.99 - 10% = 881.99 - $100 = $781.99 + 6.75% tax = $834.77. Paying $6.17 extra to get it local and now would be nice.

    no ATD :(

I got my iMac as an Open Box item at BB - had $150 coupon in November - got home and it was a 2010 iMac :(

    ----------

Ask for the Apple rep - talk with him for a while show interest. Then ask if he could do 15% :) They can make deals (if they want).

Even then it would be $832.99 + tax. Tax sucks! 20% would do it!

Dang this offer is so tempting. $820 is still a lot for a monitor though :[ I'm currently running an HP2311x off my MBA that I like, and I was contemplating on between a Dell U2412m vs ATD. I realized now that going from a 23" TN to a 24" IPS isn't worth it (I don't do anything that necessarily requires an IPS panel).

it may be YMMV, manager had to override for some reason (I confirmed the coupon applicability on the phone before showing up FWIW). When I bought the MBA the coupon scanned automatically without any manager intervention needed.

As far as stock goes you'll want to use the BB iphone app. It shows more pricing (still not all) and its more accurate than the website version for some reason. GL with the search.

Yeah 20 would be nice - the fact there is no coupon for ATD is kinda lame - ask them about it - cant hurt.

its worth it for the resolution alone IMO...but that's not to say you couldn't get the same done with 2 1080p monitors side by side, plus they'd be more versatile. It's a personal preference for me to have one high res display for everything. Of course, there are those people who have 2 TB displays so what do I know.

"Of course, there are those people who have 2 TB displays so what do I know"

this made me laugh hahaha. The HP2311x is a 1080p monitor, and i used two of them on my desktop, but I sold my desktop and plan on getting the 2012 mini when it comes out, so for now I'm just using 1 of the monitors.

The most I need to be able to fit on the displays is 2 word documents and a powerpoint at the same time, which I did easily on the dual displays. I checked out the ATD at apple today and I was able to fit everything I needed too, just had to do a lot of resizing. The resolution IS amazing though, and if I got it I'd sell my 2 monitors to contribute to the funding.

I know it's competetively priced vs similar specced monitors (27" 1440p IPS), just a lot of money for something I dont need :[ haha. Unless Amazon warehouse drops the price more..like under 800 :D

True, but it's just not the same. The only thing is I know I can get an HP ZR2740W monitor for around $630 new (I've had one before and it was awesome). Plus my MBP display IS enough at 1920x1200, so this is just an extreme luxury. It's SOOOO tempting.
