I received this letter in the mail from ATT on friday.

The verbage used in the letter was screaming for me to come back.

It said they would waive activation fees, all of my rollover mins would be intact, they would credit my ETF to my account, blah blah..

    anyone else get this?

My friend at work is on a month to month contract and was able to get 10 bucks subtracted from his bill.

No, I am still with them, happy. Although this isn't news to me. All carriers do this when you leave them. I know Verizon begged for 6 months straight for me to come back. No chance in hell I'm going back to that hell hole.

I've been getting those since last summer... I mark them "RETURN TO SENDER" just to let them know that I got the message and have declined.

Got one of those from tmo when I left. My spouse got one from Verizon when he left them.

Got one from Farmer's insurance when I left them, and one from Met Life when we dropped them...

That's a common practice among cel phone carriers, not just ATT.

That's nothing compared to verizon. I got emails, letters and phone calls, promising me extras if I only came back. Basically they promised me enough $$ to offset any ETF that would be charged. They're relentless.

btw, I didn't go back, but stayed with AT&T

I was with VZW for 14 days. When I cancelled VZW retentins called me and offered me the same as what ATT retentins offered you.

If I got a letter like that from ATT, I would kick them into the pit and yell:

    "THIS IS SPARTA !!!"
