Yeah they canceled mine too. At least you got the respect of an email, I just happened to check my order number on their site to find out.
I'm now in minute 34 of waiting on the phone for them.
To follow up more on the story. I ordered around 8 am yesterday. Got the confirmation email immediately. By 3 I still wasn't seeing a charge or my order show up in their system. I spent 45 min on hold calling in to find out that for some reason the order did not finish, and was on hold. She did something to cancel the credit card transaction and run it again and said all was clear after she ran it a 2nd time. I called my bank and checked on the first transaction and they never got it...they only had the new charge so something happened on AT&T's side.
Right before I went to bed last night I checked the order and all was well...not showing back ordered or anything. I get up this morning, check the order and it shows canceled...no emails or any communication of it.
I just spent another 45 min on hold to find out that they canceled the order because of that first canceled credit card charge, even though they had successfully charged it again. I was told that the charge was returned 'invalid' meaning I didn't have the funds. (There's thousands of funds on that card...and it had a 0 balance) I referenced my conversation with the bank about how they never got the first charge and she basically told me the error was between me and my bank. She couldn't explain why it was canceled when they had successfully charged it a 2nd time.
Long story short: She ran it again and surprise surprise, it goes through. However, she says it's treated as a new order so I lost my initial place in preorder line which means I no longer get mine on launch date. Who knows when this thing comes now. She couldn't tell me. She even said that they only have so many and she hoped mine went out before they were out of stock. So I may not see one for a long time, since basically I'm now at the end of their preorder line.
Damn I wish I never went with AT&T. I didn't want to, but I got up at 7am yesterday and tried with them and got nowhere. Went to att's site and it was working fine so I pulled the trigger with them. Ugh.
