Blah my store has only gotten like 5 phones shipped. :\ A few people are showing up as "canceled", does that mean they canceled their order?

Yup. Looks like the average is 2 cancels per store (only one for mine... the drive is 90 mins to an Apple store).

Apple store is maybe 15 minutes from my house (AT&T is about 2-5 minutes) but I heard there were still lines that were 2 hours long yesterday. Still, I'm thinking about canceling my order...

Does calling the ATT store give you a better idea of the status of your order?

What do you ask for? Just the status of your DF order?

No, I think they use the same site as we do, honestly. There's an automated number (877-782-8870) which says the same thing as the site, more or less.

Ok, thanks for the quick responce.

This is ridiculous, about 70 people BEHIND ME has their order shipped and mine is doing the 'binary dance' as this forum loves to call it. Was promised it would be here by Friday. That aint happening:mad:

My store seems to have not got a delivery yesterday. Hmph. I called over there this morning and she said that the DF orders were arriving but that they were definitely not arriving in any sort of order. I don't really understand how "first come, first served" doesn't apply here. Getting rather impatient with the lack of information at this point.

Couldn't agree more.

I kinda wish AT&T/Apple would just come out and make a press release telling us hat is actually happening.. Even if they say we aren't gonna get our phones for two more months- at least we would know what is happening.. This is getting ridiculous, I have been with AT&T since the 90's, and I have never been this disappointed with them (Even through the whole cingular debacle when I lost all of the perks of the original AT&T such as free incoming txts and a new phone every year regardless of your contract length, etc.)

I don't think this is an AT&T issue only, I believe Apple owns some responsibility for this mess. The Apple stores still have plenty of stock.

I totally agree, both Apple and AT&T need to publicly address this issue. Very poor PR on both their parts.

Interesting someone else from my store has been checking the page ... and he has a 16GB black on backorder.

The race is on to see whose gets ship first.

Queue OFFLINE

Sorry... the craziness has pushed my server to its limits. I have disabled the program (sorry, but I have paying customers on that server).

I have some ideas for automating the queue updates/stats. But will not be getting back to it for a bit.

For those that can not wait for their queue updates AND have a server (every Mac has one!), here is the script that you can download/run.

Greg
ps. for those without knowledge or a server, http://www.iphoneconvert.com/queue.php

Too bad ... I guess all those who were originally refreshing the AT&T web site every 15 seconds to see the status of their order were now refreshing your page every 15 seconds to see the status of the 500 orders surrounding them.

(I tried to keep my queries to a few per day. And the non-stats version is still very useful.)

Well thanks for trying .... you could limit searches to every 30 minutes by cookies and IP address as a thought.

Some people would find a way around it but it would help. Also caching STATS and updating only every 10~15 minutes would be a help.

You have the original script (Along with a SQL dump)? I wouldn't mind looking at it.

thanks greg - it was great white it lasted.

::: wipes tear :::

Sure thing. I'm off to get my 16 Wht!

If I have time later today, I'll try to rethink the caching scheme (make it server controlled with limited access to the data; rss feed the stats; ajax some of it). :p

The non-caching is up and running (or you can run it locally).

Greg
p.s. thanks to those that sent a donation. Not needed but appreciated.

My number has dropped from 58 to 21 since I last ran a que check yesterday. About 15 orders ahead of me canceled but still some phones have shipped in the last day or so.
