ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I'm 13 days in now... tomorrow is the 14th day, the first day AT&T said it should ship by. So I won't cancel and reorder now. I hope mine ships within the next week or so..
 
My 16 gig black iphone5 will be here tomorrow. Ordered from Apple on 9/20. It's almost a month, but hopefully it will be worth it!:) Mine came off backorder on Saturday morning and was shipped out on the 15th. It's an AT&T model.

so i guess you ordered on the 1st. tommorrow is my 13th business day and i ordered on the 2nd.

this is really upsetting me that att has no stock and verizon is shipping 32gbs in 2 days.

i will never order through att again

You could always return the 16gb when you recieve it. At&t has a 30day return option if you placed an order before 10/7 anything ordered now gets a 14 day return policy. I ordered a 16gb black on 10/1 and I'm starting to change my mind and I want a 32gb now. But as long as you don't open up the package you can return without a paying the $35 restocking fee. I am not sure about wait times for the 32 or 64. I am seriously thinking about upgrading my 16gb once I get it for a higher capacity. Or If you really want it they might be able to cancel what you have on BO but then you would be place in the back of the line again :eek:

Apple is taking just as long as AT&T. I think the AT&T model is just in more demand than it is on Verizon or Sprint. You'd have to switch carriers.

And yes, I did order on 10/1. I should probably call and ask if it is shipping still in 14-21 business days since some have been told it is delayed further to 21-28 business days.

At this point I'll just wait it out. If I seriously need more space, I'll probably get an iPad mini which I'm considering anyway, but it'll definitely help the case to get one.

Sorry to sound like an @ss ho£€ but October 2nd is not even close to a preorder, that's the first thing.

Second if you have been reading the rest of the treads leading back to last months REAL preorders, you would realize that ordering a phone a 1/2 a month after people started getting screwed was a bad decision; On your behalf...

Lastly, after making that bad decision you decide to complain about it to people that have been waiting for almost a month to get there Phones!

To summarize, I don't think AT&T is at fault for you not getting your phone when you wanted it.. --------The fault belongs to you my friend--------

And for your epic fail I reward you with 1 more week of grueling agony as you wait for your precious phone.…
 
att white 32's must be easier to come by. i marched right into an apple store in chicago and bought one with no reservation or presale. worth a try.....but they did at first tell me they didn't have any.
 
For those interested, here's my timeline:

9/22: ordered white 16GB over the phone (wasn't eligible, threatened to leave)
9/22: confirmation email, accepted terms
10/18: off B/O sometime after 7pm
10/18: tracking number available on order status page around 11pm

The order shows it was picked up within the last hour and it's scheduled to be delivered 10/19 via FedEx Overnight. I'm only about 6 hours from DFW so it would have been here tomorrow anyway.

So everything happened within a couple of hours. I was fully expecting it to ship tomorrow and be delivered next week, which I was totally cool with. The fact that it's supposed to show up tomorrow is just a bonus. Now I just need a good excuse for calling off work tomorrow...

Finally~ 9/21 white 16gb received shipping info! My last one for now.
The site was under maintenance from 10pm to 1am so Idk what time I got the shipping info but I'm officially done waiting!

For reference:

Timeline for black:
9/19 preordered
9/21 processed
10/16 1am off BO
10/16 10:30pm shipping info
10/18 1pm delivered

Timeline for first white:
9/19 preordered
9/21 processed
10/17 1:40pm off BO
10/18 between 12am and 1am shipping info
should be delivered tomorrow (10/19)

Timeline for second white:
9/20 preordered
9/21 processed
10/18 1pm off BO
10/18 between 10pm and 1am shipping info
don't know when it will be delivered

Now... I'm not done yet... One more to go...

There is nothing you can do because ups does not deliver on Saturdays but FedEx does I was just looking into this information myself

If is by UPS. I think they will deliver it tommorrow. If not they will hold it on your local UPS facility and you can pick it up there.

Judging by everyone else's TAT, I'm guessing I'll come off BO around 10/23(+/-). So excited!
 
Hi robbie12345...I ordered on 09/30 (10/1 actual)...I still do not have my 32GB :apple:. The backorders are going back further than you think....I see some people on here who ordered around 9/25 and they are still on BO. I think you are like most of us...tired of waiting and just wanting our phones. Hang in there...it is definitely frustrating but if those who ordered on 9/25 can wait, so can the rest of us who ordered after. ;)

What so you mean by back orders are going back further than you think?
 
So about how long (not business days) are we looking at about on average from order date to ship date?

21-28 days total?
 
Well just checked the status online and they went backt to BO...WTF

Yeah about that many days from order to end if you order a 16gb. If people on 9/23 are getting shipment dates now that makes it around 4 weeks. I ordered phones on 10/1 and I have a week to go before my orders go off of BO.
