ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I believe you just plug it into your computer and set it up on iTunes. When I walked out of Verizon with my 4, they had already activated it for me so this will be my first time activating one on my own too haha.

And mine is shipping from Memphis, lol interesting.

You don't have to call ATT or anything? This is going to be the first time I have internet.
 
You do not have to connect it with iTunes.. Soon as you turn on your iPhone complete the registration process, it will be automatically activated
 
Just found My iPhone 16GB White Ordered at Oct 1st in ATT store has come off BO!

Is there a time of day the phone orders typically come off backorder? I've been checking 4-5 times a day, but if there's one specific time that it seems to come off, I can stick to that and not keep hammering (relatively speaking) on the site.

Seems random, so no, there really isn't a specific time it will come off BO. Just check whenever you can.
 
So far I have seen 2 orders from 9/27 come off BO for 32gb black today. Hoping they get a move on because they have to catch up with the 16gbs!

Ordered 9/28 2 32gb iPhone 5s in black, hoping for some good news tomorrow! Won't expect to get it til Monday though, was hoping for Friday at the latest :(

Damn it, 32 gigs are 3/4 days behind 16 now? Sheesh.

I know....frustrating to say the least. I exercised some discipline and didn't check the site at all last night thinking I would wake up to a wonderful surprise. But no... my 9/30 order for the 32GB Black iPhone 5 is still showing on backorder. Patience is running thin in this camp but I suppose I'll have to eek out a few more days' worth. :(

UPDATE: Phone just shipped this morning
 
MY FINAL UPDATE ON THIS FORUM:

Ordered 9/30 in AT&T store around 5:30pm ET

Came off backorder 8/24 around 12:30pm ET

Received tracking 8/24 around 10:15pm ET

Will be delivered tomorrow by end of day via UPS...Unfortunately I'll be out of town till Sunday night so the other people that are home are going to have to take care of it till then lol, but at least it'll be here!

Thanks everyone for helping me through this LONG process, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!
 
My 10/5 32 black order just got quoted to ship between today and Nov 5th.

Another rep just said he'd "highly doubt" that window would change and said they're just waiting on a late shipment from Apple.
