Very lucky to have gotten my ip5 today as UPS is having a plethora of problems in NYC. This is my very first iphone waited for the bigger screen to stick my toe into Apple so far so good.

Just an update the iphone 5 I got today is great, AT&T on the other hand absolutely sucks. I can not place an outgoing call receive incoming calls, no LTE or even 3g. I live in Astoria Queens which was not effected at all by Sandy. Totally unacceptable! I'm returning it tomorrow and going to Verizon one month wait for this phone and the service is crap.
Ordered 16gb blck 10/16 just got off BO within the past couple of hours. I was a very early 10/16, I ordered on 10/15 but it didn't process till 2:23am which was 10/16.
I live in downtown NYC. My building lacks power. UPS wont deliver nor re-route to my office where we have power nor leave at a place where i can pick up.
I ordered 10/1. Total fail. But in grand scheme given the disaster that just went through my area, an iPhone late is a first world problem.

So I ordered my fiance's phone 10/17. The status says "processing" still. Does this mean its been on back order all this time? How will I know when it is going to do something? I just noticed the bottom shows a time frame that says "ships in 7-14 days". Last week it said "ships in 14-21 days".

My order came off backorder around 9PM PST last night. Still showing that it is off backorder but no tracking information has been released yet.

Ordered mine on 10/13. Just came off backorder yesterday and is currently on it's flight from Texas to my area. It says its on time and will be at my door step monday. Hopefully it isn't delayed because of hurricane sandy. I'm in nj but my area wasn't affected too bad
Update: Shipped yesterday afternoon for delivery on 11/6. Just have to be a little bit more patience. Thanks to everyone for the updates. I hope anyone who is waiting receives their iPhone 5 very soon. They are definitely shipping them out much faster now. Mine shipped out on the 12th business day.
