ATV 4 Denmark no Siri no Keyboard no remote app.

Went from Denmark to one infinite loop to buy a watch and got an ATV 4 aswell.
What a mistake that was... Its now collecting dust while ATV 3 is back on the tv alter.

First off we have Danish Siri but she is horrible at Danish making her in many ways still useless.
Second Siri on ATV4 is not activated in Denmark and the Siri button opens up keyboard instead.

Third... The remote app for ATV is not supported for ATV4 (even it was a mixed experiance it still was usefull...when it worked)

Fourth.... I got the apple keyboard just for the ATV3 but bluetooth keyboard option is disabled on ATV4!!

WTF? And when I got home to Denmark a new logitech K811 was waiting for me only to find it useless for the ATV4.

Imagine having to use the ATV4 remote keyboard for every search on ATV4.

What a horrible experiance ...the apple tv 4 is not ready for Denmark as it is now.

Lucky I got one of these Nvidia Shield Tv 500gb as a black friday deal... And it blew my mind in some ways.

Google's a great tool -- even these forums have a great search feature that could've saved you the frustration. I'll bet you're kicking yourself wishing you'd done a little research prior to purchasing

Or you could simply set the language to English, problems solved.
Took my 10 year old about ten minutes to get the hang of that...

I thought you also needed an iTunes account for one of the countries with TV 4 Siri support for that to work?

No, it seems to work fine with my Norwegian account.
That said, I tend to use my US Account most of the time.
But the reason for that is content, not functionality.

Something must have changed then because you needed to change accounts when it was first released.

Hmm, I'm on the beta program, so It could be that is the reason..

It's also been confirmed by other MR members.
Siri works as long as you have a US iTunes account

I was on vacation... Not the place for sitting going through detailed reviews of ATV 4 ... Who in here also owns an atv3 expected atv4 not to work with bluetooth keyboards? Come on man or the remote app.

This ATV4 kinda suck ... Even got the steelseries joypad for it... .booooring.

There will be a time im sure when danish siri and siri on apple tv will work...but now it just does not. And a time when there is actually a selection in app store (Can live with that for now)

Can say that keyboard support for atv4 is not in apples plans for now:-(

The one with a 10 year old that changes the atv4 to english ....great for you and your kid "your kid needs to get out some more"

I never run out and buy things not read about but comon its an apple tv 4 no doubt it would be better than the 3 right....Its not financially the end of the world. Its an apple tv (I own atv3s also so no big surprices there)
If you google the issues with atv4 it nok like missing keyboard option turns up.

So stop telling me to check if atv4 can use keyboard when im on a vacation.. Make as little sense as apple removing keyboard option.

Maybe Google works different where you're from, shows up at the top of the list for me

Next time if you're tech-shopping in another country you'll know to do a little reading first. Now that the iOS Remote app is compatible, keyboards should be soon to follow -- then you'll be all set -- yay

Are you not being a little specific with that search? I know how to use google you know!?
Making a search like that when buying atv4 would be the same as if i had to do a search checking if atv4 would run on electrical power or not!

Im very carefull when buying stuff allways do my reading. But if you own an atv3 and need a new apple tv there is not really need for any reading do you think?

You would expect the mac computer to connect to keyboard and mouse right? Imagine if you had to do stupid checkups like that on top of the normale home work you do when buying tech.

Is there a stearing wheel and gas pedal on the new ford? Imagine having to do check like that?

Sure apple will add the keyboard option... Just hope that its not only their own keyboard.... And only the new wireless 2 keyboard (it would in some way be typical apple

Not to me, but everyone's different. It was covered in most of the early reviews, if only you'd thought to read them Good luck!!!
