Yeah, no luck guys. Hoping next update with either device will fix this glitch.
Weird. I have a similar setup and software stand.
Everything works.
I would check with the DNS-SD discovery app, whether the Home Sharing service is properly advertised on your network.

FWIW my network infra is also all Apple's AirPorts.

FIGURED IT OUT! It’s the latest ATV4K updates! Going back a couple to the current 16.3. I know this because I just purchased a used ATV4K for $50 to use on our unsmart sony Bedroom TV. The used one was updated only to 15.2 and WORKS PERFECTLY! Connects instantly to my Mac mini with OS BIG SUR like the others always did until these recent updates.

I disabled updating on the used unit and now plan to somehow ROLL BACK the other 2 units that are updated to 16.3. Not sure how to go about that yet, but definitely a sucky situation be in and have to go thru.

Glad it works now but curious as to why the update messed it up.
No idea?! And sadly just learned I cannot roll back the software on the 4K unit, as it doesn’t have the micro USB cable input. Wondering if there’s another way?

So, went back to turn on the 4K ATV with older 5.3 update and now the computer app cannot find my library on the Mac mini?! Didn’t do any updates on anything and it now too defaults to no library like my other 2 updated with 6.3 ?! So guess it is the Mac mini OS not communicating with the 3 ATV 4K’s I have. The only thing I can think is that because they all go thru my Deco TP-link mesh extender that it somehow is interrupting the homesharing? Since using the TP-link, I’ve been having issue connecting to my Sonos speakers as well, so guessing this mesh set up is the culprit but no idea how to resolve the inconsistency issues.

I've thought about using the mesh stuff but backed off. Maybe your router, mesh and tv are having an argument. Will they work okay without the mesh plugged in? I will have to ask a friend how they have they're tp mesh set up
Thanks for asking your friend as the whole mesh thing is a little out of my league as well as router settings etc. The mesh does boost the wifi for everything we need it to, just sux the ATV 4K computer app and my iPhone Sonos app take a hit. Too many hurdles I guess, frustrating.

There are specific types of network packets broadcast that allow devices to find each other. Those kinds of broackast packets are likely being blocked somewhere in the mesh. Perhaps your router is set up with too strict of security. I know just enough to be dangerous. But you should be able to use a web search and find out how AppleTVs find Macs and how Sonos devices find each other on a wireless network. And perhaps how to configure your router/mesh to alow them to pass. I believe faulty devices can overload a network with these kinds of broadcasts, and typical router/smart switch/mesh settings block them. Perhaps TP Link tech support can help you out.
