Sorry, if this was answered before. I conduct interviews and I was wondering if there was anyway to record them onto the iPad. Is there software or any app?

    Thanks,
    Nick

There are many apps which will record audio - just do a search at the App Store. In addition, Garage Band will be available Friday.

One I use is "Blue FiRe", though it's not an iPad or universal app.

Thank you! I have a MBP and have yet to play with Garage Band.

By the way, is there any way to hook up an external mic?

There are quite a few models which work through USB through either the dock connector, or any USB mic or input device using the Camera Kit's USB adapter. Blue has a few models and are well thought of, but check around.

Edit: I wasn't sure of this, so I just tested it. The headphone jack will take the same level mic input as the iPhone. I have a small mic I bought from ThinkGeek; just plugged it in and it works fine. (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/cellphone/cee3/)
