Y’all I am ready for this. I already done the August challenge by firing up a lot of strength training, rowing and walking around in the start of the month.

I am sold on another big rowing, core training and Mindful Cooldown for 45 minutes for tomorrow. Anyone else have any thoughts about the activity challenge tomorrow?

PS: if you do it, you can get special limited edition iMessage stickers for completing the challenge. You can also use it on other devices signed under your Apple ID and even dress up your screenshots (iOS 18 and later) with revamped screenshot annotation tools!

Got it this morning after my walk. It did seem a little like cheating since I do that everyday. But glad to get it nonetheless!

Dope! Yes it is quite easy, but I still did my typical Apple Fitness+ rowing session stack i assigned for the day. I did over forty minutes of rowing, core training and Mindful Cooldown stretching.

When I plan stacks on activity challenge days i make sure there is at least one workout that meets the minimum amount of time specified, or whichever the conditions have to be met.

Cool! Maybe I'll try your approach sometime!

Of course! You can also get a free trial of Apple Fitness+ for 3 months if you recently upgraded your Apple Watch ⌚️, bought a new iPhone, or if neither one of those devices are recently purchased, target and Best Buy has trial codes for 2-3 months.

FYI if you have iOS 18 beta the interface has changed in the Fitness app, your Stacks will be all the way to the rightmost end where the Library belongs. I assign stacks of workouts for up to a month, as Monthly Plans will automatically pick workouts for you but I prefer having different time intervals and workout types based on the day. I usually rotate between Pilates and dance along with a main strength/core training and yoga on weekdays and row/stretch weekends.

This is a really timely conversation as I've been wanting to try Apple Fitness for a while now. I seem to recall that my health insurance has some sort of trial and will look into that. If not, I will be replacing my Apple Watch at the next iteration (maybe next month?).

Really? Mines is a private one and does not have it. But gyms like anytime Fitness do offer them in the United
States.

When do you plan on upgrading your AW S5?

Yea, they had something like free Apple Fitness last year but I just checked and I don't see that offer anymore. They do still have, and I participate in, the UHC Rewards program. Basically, they pay you to do healthy things. Like the walks I go on, annual checkup, flu shot, etc. I can get up to $1000/yr which I put into my HSA.

So now I'll just wait until I get my new Apple Watch. I'll pretty much get the new one whenever S10 comes out (at least, I think that's what it will be called). I'm also considering replacing my iPhone 13 with the 16 this year. So that's another way.

I used to belong to a really nice gym when I lived in WA state but since moving to FL, I haven't found one I like. So, I'll see about using the small one in my community, or even better, do Apple Fitness at home!

I would say, go for it. I have built a home gym during COVID and it was converted from a storage room, I use the equipment like my rower, yoga mats, resistance bands, folding stools and dumbbells with my Fitness+ vids. I do meditations on it as well, whenever it is at the end of my workday, breaks or when I get home and settle, and Mindful Cooldowns on rowing weekends. The Mindful Cooldowns offered in 5-minute segments do not require any or a bit of contact on the floor which is perfect when on your lunch at work, or if you need to get up from being on the desk for so long, or when using public gyms after using equipment.
