The only thing I don't like is how harsh the red is.

I took this at Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida. It was the best place ever!

Still looking for good icons, maybe a bird theme?
And i need a monitor calibrator, it's starting to read the blacks badly....

After fiddling with GeekTool for a good hour and a half or so, I finally got what I want!

Hi there, im using a cover sutra with this mod to display the cover art + song info. I'm using a geektool command for the lyrics too (with the widget "harmonic" to fetch the lyrics and put them into itunes - then when geektool refreshes, it displays the lyrics)

ill get the geektool commands i've used and put them in a text file - sorry uploading to rapidshare, not sure where else to host it. Bare in mind that some of them are pretty messy since i did a few myself, also you may want to tweak refresh times to decrease cpu load.

Here.

Btw - if you ever manage to get network bandwidth/fan speed/temperatures of hardware working, please let me know! (pm) ^_^

Thanks for the commands. :)

And thanks for the Harmonic link! I was looking for something to replace PearLyrics.

[Edit] Oh, do you know how to get spaces to work in Shell commands? I mean actual spaces... when I try to put a space in between commands ti just messes the whole string up. I want to use date +%A and THEN display the month and date, but the best I've gotten is to use date|awk '{print $1,$2,$3}' to display "Sun Aug 3," but I was hoping to be able to display "Sunday, Aug 3" without using multiple entries. I know, I'm picky!

I'm afraid i don't, I'm sure others do though. I wish I did though, so I wouldn't have to have so many new commands taking up extra processing power/time. Although I have no idea how great of an impact it is tbh. If you find out, let me know...i've asked a few questions on the geektool site's forum, but seems to have gone down the day after ^_^

Edit: ok googled it and found it out its just "\ " as in backslash followed by a space so i think "date +%A,\ %h\ %d" is what you want.
I think im going to leave mine as is, i just like the different fonts and sizes - send a printscreen our way once your done setting up so we can take a peek and....tweak :p (couldn't resist)

I wish people would bother to post links to their walls or at least a name to search for. :) I wanted it too so I went and found it, it's by Adam Betts -> link. Hard drive icons are Summer Drives 2 by Jonas Rask.

Dude MANY MANY thanks!
Mine:

Bye

Cannot WAIT to play this game (Mirrors Edge) on PS3 (ONLY)! I have a feeling many ppl such as myself will experience motion-sickness & vertigo simultaneously! Did you get to see the video playdemo of this game yet?!

Here is mine. Courtesy of Interfacelift.com the only place I get my wallpapers from if its not a picture I took.
