Anyone in Australia had their copy of leopard prepared to ship yet?

also, has anyone noticed the EDU store not working atm?...i eventually got around it by saying i was my dad buying on behalf of myself (that's not lying is it?)
 
Aussie Apple store

Well my shipping status a few days ago was "prepared to ship", then it when back the next day to "not yet shipped". Not sure what went on there?
Im on Central Coast NSW.

Ive just been back to the aussie apple store and instead of saying
"delivers on october 26th" it says "ships october 26th". Which aint good.

I wonder if those of us who pre ordered when it said "delivers on 26th"
will still get it friday or not.

Definitly considering cancelling and driving 45km to an apple store on friday.

well leopards are just as common as kangaroos in australia around the cities. i wouldn't be surprised if a leopard and kangaroo have produced offspring around the metropolitan areas and cities. there could be a spotted kangaroo jumping around.

back on topic. my leopard copy purchased with the EDU discount says: Ships by: DELIVERS ON OCTOBER 26TH. better be delivered by the 26th! otherwise ill be really disappointed as i will be able to walk into next byte and buy one friday.
 
yes, mine says DELIVERS on 26th...but still not shipped

Mine did say prepared for shipment on Monday evening but changed back yesterday to say not yet shipped.

I'm taking this as a bad sign :(

If I doesn't come on Friday - I am off to Next Byte in Adelaide to pick up a copy come 6pm (although they didn't sound too confident they would have it on release day).

I sure wish there was a bloody official Apple store here!

We're going to have loads of copies on the 26th. Go to a reseller and get it at 6pm.
 
Glad I cancelled and pre-ordered through Streetwise in Melbourne. Apparently they'll be 'released' from the warehouse at 6PM and will be sold just as soon as they get them across the city... so about 6:30-7:00. And pre-orderers are guaranteed to have a copy so all is well! The only people getting them first are New Zealanders!:rolleyes:

NZ's saying the same thing ("ships on" instead of "delivers on") and they have removed "You will get it on the 26th" from the FAQ. I assume that it's just too late to pre-order it now, but those of us who ordered before they changed it should still get it. My order status still says to expect it on the 26th.

If I don't get a delivery notification tomorrow then I'll start to worry though!
 
I will wait in all day Friday (unless it still says it hasn't shipped in which case I am off to the beach).

If it doesn't arrive from the courier by 5pm then I am off to Next Byte to see if I can get a copy from 6pm.

My Leopard order (destination NZ) is now Prepared for Shipping. The Order Status page still says "delivers on 26 October" (not ships on).
 
Why faff about without pre-ordering and shipping notices. Just go in to Next Byte or Myer after work on Friday or saturday morning. They will have ample copies.

I am on the Central Coast as well but mine has changed to 'prepared for shipment' this afternoon sometime. If it doesn't ship tomorrow I will be looking at Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Even then the last two things I have ordered did not arrive until late afternoon both times. Sadly though the two resellers around me have never usually got the latest anything in stock.
 
My order has been updated in last few hours to "Prepared for Shipment"-this time for real (and won't change back, unlike what I saw on Monday).

I'm on the Gold Coast.
