Optus got me my phone, but sadly getting a case to me has been quite arduous for Apple. I should have gone the black leather, but no, I had to be fancy. I will be nervous using the phone until the case arrives...
Lucky I didn’t have faith in aus post and got a case from apple today.

Really hope they get rid of aus post 🤦‍♂️Happened one to many times.
The old days they would send everything overnight with tnt, if you order something with a battery in it as well it will come overnight, then return it. (pro tip lol)

Same. TNT tracking shows shipment's with a driver. They've got 32 mins to make it before 5:00pm.

Which is a slight improvement on last year, where at midday the tracking showed: delivery attempt made, no one home.

Hello? I've barely left the house since COVID hit, you really think I'd go out while expecting this delivery.

This year, I'm in a Sydney LGA of concern, and am literally not allowed to go out for anything other than food or exercise, so if they want an excuse this time they'll have to be more creative.

And... the doorbell's just gone. No excuses needed, it's here.

I just called Star Track who have a dedicated iphone line set up. They said that drivers are working late to catch up because of the strike yesterday, and we are still set for delivery today.

Telstra app updated earlier this afternoon to say it’s tomorrow.

I guess we will see what happens 🤷‍♀️

So can you outline what you did?

Did you restore new phone from iCloud?

Then unpair and repair Watch?
Unpaired watch first from old phone, Ended up restoring from my Mac, then restored the watch from my new phone that had the backup on it.

Try calling apple, see apple what they say.

Forgot to ask you how’s the green leather case go with the phone? Any good?

I found some weird spots / small holes on the back though so it’s going back to Apple.

No luck with the watch unlock either. I did a transfer between phones, which asked if I wanted to pair the watch with the new phone, and I said yes. Watch showed in app on new phone and was gone from old one.
Tried a full reset of the watch and paired again, but still no go. I did restore the watch from a backup, but wasn’t going to do a fresh setup and lose my days health data. I’ll wait and see if anyone comes up with another fix.

Can’t do Apple care either, which is odd on a brand new phone. Says it’s not eligible.

Just log the bug on the Apple feedback page. The more of the same bugs, the faster they’ll fix it.
