Australian Watch Pre-Order Thread

The buyer is very excited. He's flying in from interstate just to pick it up. Im hoping that once the watches start to reach customers, more will pop up online at a decent price.
I have the slightest feeling that Apple Watches heading to Australia won't get charged till closer to the date - because it would take less time to get here?
New releases always seems to fly over from Shanghai.
Haven't heard Apple fly over batches to distribution centres in Australia like they do in the US.. thoughts?

I'm in the 12 May - 25 May range cause I've preordered the Space Black SS with Link. According to model distribution (according to media analysis), there are fewer pre-orders for this model, but then again probably don't have many already manufactured either.

Still no credit card charges or changes in status for anyone? I don't want to be pessimistic about Australia's chances of getting deliveries on Friday, but it's getting harder
Having said all of this, if we think about ordering online normally, we can place an order, get charged and then it packed and shipped the same day. Some places offer a four hour turnaround for metro areas. I'll be hopeful until Thursday afternoon

How did my confirmation come through at 5:02pm and my range for my Space Black 42mm SS, and I have a delivery date of 4-6 weeks (May 25 - June 5)

I've been checking my card for charges everyday since I've ordered my watch . Nothing yet. Ordered the pink sports band sports watch 38mm on the 10th. Didn't bother trying it. Would have preferred the SS model with a leather band but once again (like someone else mentioned earlier) I cannot justify spending that much on a 1st gen. We are likely to see some major improvements in a not so distant future . Del. estimate for me b/w 12/5 - 25/5. Hoping it's earlier than that of course!

Always direct from China. Which means we would start seeing 'preparing for shipment' Wednesday for Friday delivery is my guess.

alright, so I just got off the phone with Apple.
He couldn't tell me when I'd be charged, but that they'd email me a confirmation when the shipping was going to occur and they'd charge my cc then.
He couldn't give any real info on times, he seemed to think I was a fair chance given I'd ordered in the first 5 minutes but certainly nothing concrete

At least my spare cable was marked as shipped for delivery tomorrow, this afternoon. Good to see they are keeping their end of the bargain so far, even if it is just a cable!
