iBook or hardcover?

Half of me wants a legit hardcover book
but
half of me wants to be all Meta and get it on my iPad

AHH DECISIONS!!! :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Will this be available on ibooks? and is this date to be released in US only? how about the UK?

It won't be Steve's voice - just a random narrator reading the book (I assume - that's usually the case unless specified otherwise)

Unless he was too ill to do it I hope it is Steve

When my other hero Margaret Thatcher bought out her biography about her years as PM it was on audio cassettes personally spoken by her, she was in much better health than Steve admittedly

she was your hero:eek::eek:

I refuse to read this in any other way but the iPad.

It even says on the link provided to you that it is read by Dylan Baker with an introduction read by the author (Walter Isaacson).

Why would Steve have read a biography? This is not an autobiography. This is based on years of interviews and research.

This will be the Bible of this generation.

That's complete blasphemy! Jobs was a talented technologist, but he was not god.

And, since Jobs was a Buddhist, the following is relevant:

Zen Buddhist teachers like D.T. Suzuki are quite emphatic that the concept of holy book is contrary to Buddhist thought. If you can express your ideas in writing, it is not Zen.

You dishonor Jobs by attempting to make him a Judeo-Christian icon.

Fail.

Let's not engage in ill-founded beatification -

Movie? Video Tribute?

I hope there's a movie. I can't imagine there won't be one day.

Also, I hope that Apple does a commercial tribute. It's probably too difficult for them to think of such a thing right now. But their ads are beautiful, and I would love to see a video tribute by Apple for the late (can't believe it still), great Mr. Jobs. :( :apple:

Why are people pre-ordering an e-book? I'll be getting it, but will wait for it to be available on Kindle.

I pre-ordered a copy on Amazon as well.

Just the thought of sales for a book being up 40,000% is crazy to me, but certainly not surprising given the subject matter.

Must have book of the year. Looking forward to it.

For the Cult of Mac, yes.

For the real world - not likely.

Easy. I highly doubt he literally meant this would be the book people pray to and believe that Jobs is god like.

Time to relax

24th the book 25th bf3!

I really don't read books period, but i will be reading this one. Never really like Steve jobs nore apple, but i respect the man to the maximum for what he has done. I do own some apple products but just didn't agree with everything.

May he rest in peace, and leave his mark to the world. Jobs entrepreneur of the century.

According to http://www.biographyofstevejobs.com (http://www.biographyofstevejobs.com/movie/biography-movie-details/) - the movie rights have been gained by Sony to make a movie based off of this biography. Anywhere from $1-3million paid for the rights alone.

This will kill the social network. Heck yes.

I know it won't happen, but it'd be kinda cool if Noah Wyle were to play him again. As I understand it, Steve Jobs hated Pirates of Silicon Valley, but he liked Wyle's portrayal enough. It seemed like Wyle really put a lot of work into the performance.

Really looking forward to this book. Just can't decide if I want the hard cover or iBook...or both!
