Authorized Biography of Steve Jobs to Debut October 24th

I will be ordering one today, I anticipate it will be one of the bestseller in history, all over the world (too bad Steve is not around to sign autograph, RIP). And after this, I would like to see a movie based on this autobiography, it will be another hit. Let's see, who would we want to see play Steve? :rolleyes:

I love the work that he has done and I am very glad that I have gotten to enjoy them and will continue to enjoy them.

Another advantage to the digital copy: immediate download. What are the odds that Amazon or Barnes and Noble will deliver it to us on the 24th? I know, its just a book, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Stoked to get this book! I might also order it on my iPad I just haven't got used to reading books on it yet.

Perhaps. But the cynic in me sees the publishers secretly brimming with glee over the timing of Steve's death. Honestly, I'd at least have waited until the services were over.

I don't know why I'm surprised though.

It's possible Amazon might change it, they've offered same-day shipping on popular books in the past.
 
Before everyone starts seeing this purchase as a memorial to steve. Anyone know where (and to whom) all the profits on the book are going?
 
I hadn't ordered it yet, but I just did. I realized I've had a $25 gift certificate sitting in my Amazon account for a few months; I can never decide what to get with those things, but now, what better way to spend it?
 
Outsell the iPhone4s?

I'm guessing this will outsell the iPhone 4s. It'll be interesting to see the pre-order numbers for both.

I have to assume that Steve's health in the last few months was affecting Apple more than anyone realized. It may have had some effect on the FCP transition and lack of progress from Feb-June. It may have affected putting out a new form factor for iPhone 5, especially with Steve being so hands on with the physical design of new products. And I'm guessing if affected the speed of siri, iOS5, and iCloud progress. Not sure what this all means for the future.
