Hi guys,

Thought I'd just ask a quick question.

Thinking of installing Sierra public beta onto my Mac. I currently have the latest WatchOS beta and the latest iOS dev beta.

Will Auto Unlock work from my watch if my phones on a dev beta and the mac's on a public beta?

and must I ask does Auto Unlock work in general on the beta so far?

cheers!

You likely should have asked this on the existing thread for this topic: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/unlock-with-apple-watch-questions.1977302/

Yes, the public betas support the unlocking with the watch feature. No, it doesn't matter which beta you're running on your iPhone (the iPhone isn't part of that feature anyways - it's the connectivity between your watch and Mac).

People have had varying levels of success getting it working. Lots of tips and troubleshooting suggestions on that thread when you get to that point. :). If you get your other continuity features working, you may be one of the lucky ones and you just enable it and it works. :)

Cheers!
