Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't his result in all incoming calls being over 2G instead of 3G? It may not be a big deal, but calls would be slightly less clear and have a higher chance of dropping once 3G kicks in and a tower jump is initiated.

As a side note; 2G is much more stable for voice in some areas then 3G. It would be nice to have the app stay in 2G mode if all you have done was answer the phone.

Figured I'd throw my two cents in. I bought this app last night and had my first full day with it today. For me, it's doing what is is supposed to do as far as switching between edge and 3G, and wifi and 3G. Have no complaints there. I'm still trying to figure out how much battery I'm saving, if any. At the end of my work day, I'm usually around 65-75% battery with light usage, usually checking email, sending texts etc. Today I was a little on the heavier side of that and I left work at 78% battery. So far, I have seen about a 5-10 percent increase in battery life. Right now I'm at 4:41 hours usage, 13:2 minutes of standby @ 37% battery life. Since I've got home, I've watched 2 5 minute videos on YouTube, and sent a bunch of texts and done a bunch of surfing. When I left work, I had about 1 hour of usage so the rest has been at home on wifi. I'll have to see how the next few days go, but so far, I like it.

It's not like you couldn't turn stuff on and off manually to increase battery life, but it's much better when it does it for you, lol. I usually just roll with wifi and 3G on, but now I dont have to. When I connect to a wifi source, it turns 3G off, and when I leave it, it will go to 3G, or turn it off if not in use.

Doesn't work for me, or at least not completely. I have it set for "radios off" when I'm on wifi. Data gets turned off (sometimes) but 3G is always left on. That's with no applications in my whitelist.

Worse, if I add any application to the whitelist, it will always leave on 3G and Edge when that application is in the task switcher. In other words, you have to manually manage your task switcher and close applications in the whitelist if you want it to work again! What I would expect it to do- only honor the whitelist when the application is actually running in the foreground.

Mailed support twice (first time 3 weeks ago) and no response yet.

$6 down the drain.

Been using it for a few months and it works great. Adjusting the settings for time switches, what I need on, etc. works fine too. Extended my battery to last from morning to night instead of requiring a mid-afternoon charge.

Had it set to disable all radios when on WiFi. Worked fine for calls. however, MMS requires the DATA radio (EDGE minimum) to be on to work. made that change and will see how that affects the battery now (though do not expect much since that setting is when on WiFi and at home have a MicroCell).

Never really worked for me

I have installed, removed and reinstalled this app a few times and I really think it is BS !!! Waste of money and too expensive too.

Why ? It just won't switch off 3G, when I try and switch OFF 3G manually in Apple Prefs, it switches it back on. When I am on the bus it will switch off reception completely where before I would have had at least a 2G signal.
And now the worst. It won't switch reception back on at all. So a RESTART becomes necessary.

What a bucket load of *****.
