B bobriot macrumors member Jan 1, 2011 #2 I couldn't find a way to do it in OS X but there is a windows utility that can do it. If you have Boot Camp then log in and download HDDScan (http://hddscan.com/) this can enable and set the Acoustic Management. Worked for me!
