Got one over the weekend from Solihull (UK) - they had loads of everything expect any apple cases, nearly sprang for a dock as well but the fact you have to take it in and out of the case to use it is a deal breaker.
Getting it out of the case is a trial in itself!
Camera kit is good, does what it says on the tin - glad i got it. Though that functionality should have been included in the body of the ipod, even if they had to mark it camera only to stop people moaning that they can't access all kinds of files.

$10 is small price to pay...
Thanks for the tip. I just ordered from expansys after both Apple and Tekserve in NYC said the CCK might be scarce for a long time. (Tekserve added that people had figured out the USB connection wasn't confined to the camera function). Expansys seems very businesslike. The fellow said they were expecting more stock on Monday the 7th.

Just to provide an update: I received mine as advertised. They shipped very quickly (I got lucky that they had some in stock when I ordered). I will be looking to expansys for short stock items as their markups are reasonable and they do business on the up and up.
Regarding the CCK, my wife and I were amazed at how straightforward it was to load pictures directly off our cameras. No muss no fuss and our pictures just showed up in our iPads' photo libraries. The iPad photo library app, by the way, is still short of some features but 3rd party apps make up for this and I'm sure future updates will improve the app itself.
I finally was able to pick one up at Fair Oaks Mall Apple store today, after a month of checking to see if they have it or not. I could've ordered online but I just felt that it wasn't a necessity and if they have it I'll buy it if they don't they're saving me 30 bucks. But today while my gf was in forever 21 I was just strolling through apple and didn't even think they'd have it since it wasn't out in the ipad accessories section but I asked the girl that worked there and she said they just got some in!

They are everywhere in the uk, I was in birmingham and then Cardiff and both store had about a dozen in. I could have bought them all and made a killing on eBay lol
Grrr, just rang up the Cardiff Store hoping they would have some in stock, but the guy said they had not even had any delivered yet?!!?!
All i want is a Camera Connection Kit is that too much to ask ;-(

Well, I jumped the gun and ordered one from Expansys...then I checked the status of the order only to find that they were awaiting stock. It's the 9th, so, I suspect they are probably just like everybody else in the nation...waiting for the next batch from Apple. So, I canceled the order...and will let my Best Buy order that has been in place for a few weeks to remain.
But as far as Expansys being more...it is not even a full $10 more because unless you live in Illinois, you would have tax savings...and their shipping at $3 is very reasonable and less than BB.
Does Anyone know of a UK stockist with these available?
I missed out on launch day as was flying from London gatwick on the 28th at 7am, dioxins had them in but wouldn't sell anything iPad related till 8am cause apple told them not to!
Been looking now am back and no where has them. Have found one pcworld branch with shelves full of VGA adapters (perhaps if they did more they'd sell better) and the apple store in lakeside has loads of docks, cases and keyboards and a reseller in Romford had the docks and keyboards but no where seems to have the camera kits!

I ordered from Expansys on June 2, but am still awaiting the shipment. They ran out just like everybody else, and now their website says "ships in 13 days."
I'll keep the order open and see which of the two places I've ordered from comes in first. But that extra $10 Expansys adds isn't justified anymore. I just have to have the camera kit for travels, so I'm stuck.
