This case is sexy and fits snugly and wonderfully and seems to be the perfect case...until you take a look at the design and realize that it does NOT protect the top and bottom part of the phone! Those parts remain vulnerable when dropped. This unfortunately IMO makes the case virtually worthless for practical use.

This angle helps you see the problem.

...in other words, do your homework and research a product before you buy it? Just b/c the top isn't covered doesn't mean the case is worthless. Is that really worth such a sensationalist thread? Gracious....

Those cases are not going to do much for a drop. They're meant for keeping it from getting scratched and a better grip. Don't drop your $1,000 phone people.

Not happy with the Neo Hybrid I got. The volume buttons on the case dont line up right and I end up turning the device down when I'm trying to turn it up. So I ended up getting an Apple case.

Should have done research before purchasing the case. Not worth making a thread over your mistake.

Exactly.

I actually prefer cases like this with the bottom open. I use the 30 pin to Lightning adapter in my car so I need the bottom to be open.

I buy AppleCare+ in case of drops. The case is just to prevent the back of the phone from getting scratched.

I have a Spigen case coming today in the mail. I got a different model than the one you got but I'm hoping mine doesn't have this problem. I bought the Air Skin.
I have the air skin. Hate to break it to you but the bottom is uncovered the rest is covered but...the case is so thin(advertised as .4mm thin) that any drop will more than likely still dent the phone. This case is really only good for people that want a naked phone but won't scratch it laying it on a table and it adds a little grip than just the phone itself

Spigen makes a bunch of cases so pick one you like and don't make such a negative post because you found one case you don't like.

I ordered this one and love it on my iPhone 6. Offers a good balance of protection and slimness for me.

People keep posting links to items on Amazon and I can never open the links directly. Just takes me to the home page.. Have to search via the product code every time..

I had a Spigen case once. Never again. I stick with Otterbox and Otterbox only.

Pick a good case that will protect your device from scratches, falls, and bending....;)

I think it looks like a pretty nice case, really like how it gives extra access to the mini stereo jack. I picked up the Apple Leather along with my iPhone 6 mostly to deal with the protruding camera but also for the added grip. I was concerned that the large plug on my Shure earbuds wouldn't work but surprisingly it does.

Got this case on my 6 plus. The back of the case does petrud slightly meaning there is some protection if you drop it. However the case is not really meant as a case to offer that. However it looks good and will prevent scratches.

i dont understand some people...

they want the world thinnest case but expect full protection.

Then they buy the biggest case which will help actually protect your phone but complain that its too big and wish it was thinner.

Those are minimalist cases much like the Apple sleeves.

It's for people who would like to prevent simple scratching on the back surface of the phone when laying it down on a table.
Yes and it's biggest benefit is allowing for the phone to be laid flat on any surface even with the camera lens as it is.

I hadn't realized that people buy cases that they don't expect to protect all sides from drops. I changed the title of the post.

So people should avoid the  leather case too? That has open bottom. Just seems like a strange topic to list ONE case that doesn't protect all sides of the phone...there are soooo many cases like these.

It looks like it comes with two different options .. get the Crystal Clear for a hard case that's see-through (and probably nice and slippery), or the Soft Clear for a more rubbery, easier to grip case. None of these are going to do much other than stop scratches on the back and sides but I think most people would know that going in after looking at the pics and reading the description.
