The Zagg brand screen protector for the iPad 2 is not made correctly. The home button and camera hole do not align properly on the iPad 2. I am very dissapointed and waisted 39$ at bestbuy w/ the install

Surely you could get a refund if it doesn't line up correctly. I wouldn't have accepted it to begin with.

Didn't want take the time to look at it in the store. Was outside of bestbuy with my son from 2-5 and he was starting to get anxious. I am calling bestbuy tomorrow.

I'm sure it will work out for you. I don't think they would hold you to something that A> Doesn't fit right and B> They put on themselves.

Same here. The fit is horrible. It doesn't cover the whole screen and the holes don't line up correctly. I'll be taking it in tomorrow to get a refund or one that fits properly.

Im going to be waiting a few more days. That way the screen will be protected for as long as possible. I am also sure that Zagg will produce an corrected version. Will be calling them as well.

Ive bought zagg once and thought it was crap compared to power support products.

Only plus is you can have it now at BestBuy if you must.

I was disappointed that BestBuy no longer does Ghost Armor - they were pushing the Zagg InvisibleShields only. I've put a Zagg iPad side-by-side with a Ghost Armor iPad and the Zagg looked pretty terrible. The Ghost Armor was much better -- no orange peel, almost invisible.

My solution for now is to get a Gelaskin for the back and front border, and then see how it goes w/the naked front screen for awhile.

How does the smart cover work when the invisible shield is installed? any difference?

doesn't interfere with eachother at all. Unlocks when it opens. Stays on. I personally do not like the smart cover. No back protection and if someone picks it up by the case when its open it comes off obviously. The iPad 2 I have now is for my 2 yearold. He has allready taken it off about 5 times. (Mines on my way ordered at 2:45am CST took a chance and ended up being the 9th person inline at bestbuy here in Joliet IL.)

Zagg did not have an iPad 2 in hand when th made the skin because it's out on release day and Apple did not release dimensions for case manufacturers.

The same thing happened when the 2nd gen iPhone came out - basically, Zagg were given measurements of the device by Apple and started making the covers before the phone was released, and before they had a chance to see it themselves and make the measurements themselves. After the phone was released (and after they had already sold covers), they realised it didn't fit properly.

When this happened to me with the iPhone, they redesigned the cover as soon as they got their hands on the actual device and took their own measurements. They then sent me a new cover free of charge. All I had to do was show them a copy of the receipt, and send back what remained of the plastic cover after I took it off the phone.

Contact Zagg first. If you have the receipt, I'm sure they will help you out, or tell you the best course of action.

I will never by Zagg shields again. I've had a set on my 3GS and seen it on other phones, same old junk.

Regarding Zagg for the iPad 2 sold at Best Buy, my wife said she overheard a sales associate say that they pulled them off the shelf due to "problems" reported by other stores.

Probably just as the OP says.

How does the back invisashield fit? I'm talking about the speaker holes on the backside.

My experience with the Zagg Invisishield was great. Both front and back fit perfectly. I cleaned and cleaned before putting them on, and I have ZERO bubbles on the front or back. There were a few initially, but after 3 days, they were gone.

I will wait a month or so then order one direct from Zagg for my iPad 2...

Just FYI, one of the benefits of Zagg is that they have a lifetime warranty. So as long as you own the ipad, you can take it back and get a new one whenever you want. They may charge you the $10 fee for install, or you can just give them the old one and they'll give you a new one to put on yourself.

I've had great luck with them. It's a good product, all in all.

While this is true, many other skins companies have the same kind of deal. And due to Zagg's piss-poor customer service, you could end up getting charged the full amount even if you do try to swap it. I sent my IS in to them for replacement and they charged me the full amount anyway because they were too slow to process it. Real nice. -$55. Called them and raised absolute hell until they agreed to refund me (which, btw, took two weeks).

Cannot express my dislike towards them as a company. Don't even get me started on their outrageous pricing.

I prefer bestskinsever, but they sometimes lag behind in offering skins for new Apple products so I have to get a Zagg. On a few products the Zagg cut was alittle better than the bestskin but for the most part they are pretty comprable and bestskins charges just a fraction of the inflated Zagg prices. Recently discovered wrapsol and like the matte look but wrapsol is expensive and unlike Zagg doesn't have many coupons.

Has anyone returned the Zagg yet? I have mine boxed up and ready to return just haven't went to Best Buy yet.

I too want to know how the back fits. I love the Smart Cover and don't want to put anything on the screen, just protect the back of the iPad from scratches. Any pics? Who else makes a similar product?

I had a good experience with them today. Called and told them that I had their Invisible Shield installed at BB on the Ipad 2 and didn't realize how badly it fit till I got home and took a good look at it. Tried to return to BB and they told me they wouldn't accept it because Zagg has a lifetime warranty so I need to contact zagg. I contacted them and they said they were very sorry they were off with the measurements. They told me to take a picture of the receipt with my cell phone and email it to them so i wouldn't have to worry about shipping the old one. While I was still on the phone with them I sent the email showing the receipt purchase and right away I got an email confirmation from them that they were shipping my replacement shield in two days. Not bad customer service IMO....
