Surprised I have to ask this, but I honestly cannot figure this out.

Over the last week or so, AW7 no longer vibrates or makes sounds for alarms.

I’ve checked all my other iOS devices and none are set to silent. The AW is not set to mute, silent, focus, theater, etc. In fact, I used to wake up to AW set as an alarm and it would vibrate to wake me up even with theater, DND and mute turned on. Now, it does not. It no longer will do anything but show on the screen that the alarm has expired.

I suspect that this is something simple, but I cannot figure this out and could really use some pointers.

Thanks!

Either on your phone’s Watch app or on your watch go to sounds and haptics settings. Make sure silent mode is turned off if you want the watch to play sounds and make sure Haptic Alerts, Crown Haptics and System Hatics are turned on.

Press and hold both the crown button and side button to force a restart. Afterwards double check the haptic settings.

If none of that works, your watch should still be under its initial 1 year warranty being a series 7, so check in with Apple to see if you have a defective unit.

Hmm, I did a restart and didn’t change anything else and it is working as expected — vibrate when appropriate and sound when appropriate.

Thank you for the suggestion. Perplexed why this happened in the first place and why restarting would fix it.

Appreciate your ideas and your time.

I had something similar with my S7 when I slept through an alarm for two or so hours; figure it going off and tapping constantly for that long screwed something up. Reboot fixed it.

Did you shower or used it around, under or splashed by water? If so, just use the water removal feature. Sometimes droplets of water prevent the speaker from making sounds due to sound waves being stopped by water.
