Hi guys,

just wanted to share my first impressions of my new baby: i bought myself a 42mm space black series 2 AW. Before that i owned a 38mm series 0.

First of all i am very impressed with battery life: took the watch out of its packaging with around 87% battery, played with it all day and tested every feature (except gps workouts) including sleep tracking over night with sleep++ and well, now it's been 23 hours and i still got 5% juice left. in comparison with my old 38mm watch the battery life has improved significantly. i love that! :)

second, speed: the new s2 chip is really fast. besides opening apps faster, the watch simply runs smoother than my old one - not a single lag and the animations also seem to be much smoother. Siri also does work much better and responds responds much quicker.

and last but not least the space black looks ****ing awesome in person. so all in all the upgrade was definitely worth it to me.

PS: Water ejection is a pretty funny thing :D Feeling like a cyborg now haha

Oh man ! You just convinced me ... I'm buying one, damn it !

It looks identical to Series 0, as we all know, but the black on black really is cool looking.

Just got one too from BB in Boynton Beach, FL. The all black is pretty sick and the stainless is much heavier and hence, feels much better than the aluminum

I live in Boynton too! Did the BB have the Stainless steel with classic buckle by any chance?

The thing I wonder is.... is the black stainless steel polishable to remove scratches? or is the black part just a light coating on the stainless steel that would be polished off?

That is the only thing holding me back from a black SS because I love being able to polish my SS to remove scratches and make it look nearly brand new. I'd hate to scratch a black SS and know that it's permanent.

Not sure, but there are other posts about that on here.

I just paid $50 for Apple care and don't worry about it. I mean, an Apple Watch "protector" at Best Buy is $25, so for $25 more, I just got the Apple care.

Also, remember, the version 3 will be out next year, so...

I'm really hesitating about which SS to take, silver or space black.
On the one hand, I like the SB's look in combination with the Milanese, on the other hand I'm not sure, if there are as many good looking watch/band-combinations as in case of the silver one. What makes me also tend to silver is the possibility of polishing scratches, which (if I got it right) isn't possible with the space black Apple Watch. Too bad, my inner feelings shout for space black :D

Have you seen the SB in person yet??

yes, but couldn't try it on :( Can anybody tell about his/her scratch-experiences wearing the SB Series 0 for a longer time?
Yep, had mine since June last year (took that long for them to fill the original orders). Not a mark and I haven't been careful with it at all (well, initially, but then the novelty wears off a bit). Worn it daily since getting it out of the box. Banged it off of lots of stuff (though careful around concrete and brick - as they could contain particulates approaching diamond in hardness). Lots of yard work. Not a mark. Still looks new.

Those that want more info on these, there's a couple of threads:

It is very difficult to scratch and DOES NOT show the micro abrasions like the regular stainless Steel one.

My suggestion: go try one on and you'll know in 30 seconds.
