Well, I have an Ultra 2 so in my biased opinion the Ultra 2 still offers more than S10:

Water resistance (diving)
Brighter screen (3000 vs 2000 nits)

Flat glass - for me, much easier to read than my S7 but ymmv

My S6 is functional but battery is gonna give in sooner or later after 4 years of heavy use. I am not in a rush to upgrade but I like the Aw ultra 2 black, when I have to upgrade. It’s a huge upgrade coming from S6.
Same here. I initiated my trade in on my Ultra 1 last week and locked in $355 trade-in. Now, not even sure I will update any of my Apple products. Luckily, I haven't shipped it.
All reasons I decided to upgrade to the Ultra 2 from my AW8. And one of the biggest reasons is that the Sapphire Crystal screen on the Ultra 2 is more scratch resistant than the Ion-X glass on the aluminum AW.
I had a Sapphire screen on my Fenix 6 and it was virtually bulletproof - when I switched to the AW8 it got a (minor) scratch in the screen almost immediately. I've had a case/screen protector on it ever since, and have gone through 3 or 4 of them in 2 years.
Nobody seems excited about the second hand coming to the always on display but I definitely am.
I am too, very divided... On my hand I like the look of the Ultra and it still have some advantages mainly the battery for me, but I am not very interested by the new color. The new bands looks nice tho'..
On the other hand the new bigger LTPO3 screen of the Series 10 and the titanium finish also looks very nice.
Price are basically the same between Titanium 46mm Series 10 and Ultra 2.. the decision will be very hard, one more day to decide.

💯. All of this, plus: I’ve had the AW: Original, S2, S3, S5, S6 & S7….just recently in the past month bought the Ultra 2 and love it. Even though the AW styling was tweaked a bit here/there over the years, they all felt essentially the same. Consequently, every upgrade felt lackluster. The Ultra 2 felt fresh/new!
I have an S9 with an O2 sensor. I didn't see any compelling reason to upgrade this year. The S9 is getting all of the software upgrades — sleep apnea, etc. I don't do much swimming, so I don't care about a depth gauge or water temperature. I have no desire to stream audio through my watch speaker. The always-on second hand might be nice, but I wouldn't use it very often. The actual display size is not that much bigger. I'm betting it's hard to spot even with a side-by-side comparison.
I'm sitting this year out and hoping that maybe the S11 will have new sensors or something.

I'm curious to see how the black titanium will look after a few bumps and scratches. The color is pretty cool, but considering it is still an Ultra 2, I will stick to my Ultra 1 for at least one more year.
Was excited to finally get a first party Milanese loop for ultra in titanium finish, but at $199 for a watch strap, they're taking the piss...

My two cents as someone not owning an Apple Watch today: nothing made me want to run out and buy a 10 or ultra 2 in black.
If you live near an Apple Store or authorized reseller, you're better off checking them out on your own after the 20th. These colors look one way in promo photos, but on actual skin, they look different. That's why I didn't preorder yet.Has anybody seen a side by side comparison between the Jet Black and the Slate version?
I´m still unsure which one I like better on the product pictures, so this would probably help.
I also have a S6 and decided not to upgrade. The S6 is still compatible with watchOS 11, so I will sit out another year until an Ultra 3 is announced.
