The Bendy Cable hit the funding goal, thanks in large part to this forum. Thanks to all of you!

The Bendy cable is MFI Certified.

Appletec: To my knowledge, that BelayCord hasn't actually been MFI certified yet. They are Apple certified developers but I don't see anywhere in the project where it's been confirmed that the actual product has gone thru and passed Apple's testing.

ANTAWN:

Both of our cables have a USB type A connector. That's the highly common usb plug that goes into almost all PC's. It's a thin rectangle shape.

MFI means "Made for iPhone" and signals that a product made for Apple devices has passed Apple's strict testing and product quality guidelines.

Many of the 3rd party cables and chargers for Apple devices out there are not MFI certified and it usually means they're using chips inside the cable that have been hacked and the quality of other components like cabling, shielding, etc are often subpar. It's why people complain of the "Accessory Unsupported" error message. Apple programs the operating system software of the device to not work well with chips that have been hacked.

The Bendy cable with white trim has a Lightning connector on the opposite end from the USB type A so its used for newer iPhones like 5 , 6 and later versions of iPads.

The Bendy cable with the black trim has a Micro USB connector on the opposite end. That connector is used in a lot of Android phones like Samsung and other devices like power banks and even some digital cameras.
