... but really, what does a taller screen get you? 95% of the time I'm going to be looking at it vertically. So what if I see more at the bottom of a web page when I still have to pinch to zoom to even read the text because the screen is so narrow?

I agree, of your going to make the screen taller you also have to make it wider.

I mean if this is the final product Apple will lose alot of money and customers.

We dont. It is a mock up and a complete guess by the writer/website.

Its coming from the leaked photos over at 9to5mac. Check them images again and you should see that the black iPhone has a darker band.
