Been an iphone fan since its launch 2007. Used to lineup and get every iphone till iPhone 6. After that I got bored and moved on to blackberry 10. Enjoyed it a lot till that OS died. Then moved onto windows phone and used it for a court or of years. After that tried every android phone there is. But somehow couldn’t hold on to one for more than a few months

So here I’m finally - with iPhone X. I found its design is something new after a long time and using it for a day now.

Still getting used to iOS again and gestures.

Hopefully I’ll keep this phone for at least 6 months.

I'm amazed at the people who bounce around from phone to phone, from OS to OS, back and forth, switching SIM cards between multiple phones
Selling this phone to pay for that phone

Takes too much effort and $$ for me to even contemplate doing such

It’s an addiction. Hopefully it will stop for me with this phone.

Why?? Any specific reasons? What do you use now??

My pixel 2 xl. I had my X and the camera was horrible, it wouldn't focus and the photos mainly came out blurry. It took forever to find a specific iPhone with 11.1.2 and I didn't want to find another. Apple even said my camera was broken and to exchange it. I go to Best buy and they argue with me saying my camera is fine (even though only 1 out of the 10 photos they took came out not blurry) and they tried to refuse me returning the phone. So I'm pretty much done with apple for awhile.

It really doesn't but thankfully everyone has different opinions

I just find what works and keep it at that. When I switchEd to the iPhone years ago, I knew right away that Apples ecosystem with iOS was completely in tune to what I was looking for. I never once considered switching back to android, even though they have some nice hardware, Apple’s software and security standards keeps me devoted.

You'll notice a lot of negativity re: the X.. Its mainly from people who claim to have had the X, never had the X, or played with one in a store for a few minutes.. Unfortunately there no way to disprove someone who says they have it and hate it or that they had it and returned it because of how terrible it was.

Most actual owners of the X are happy with it. I dig mine and am very happy with the X..

Having to sort through all the X drama sucks but not much can be done about it as it's the internet...

The X is great, the larger screen in what amounts to the physical size of the 8 is great, the camera is awesome, the OLED screen is better than LCD (to me at least), faceID works awesome and you get use to the gestures quickly. After having the X I'd personally find it very hard to go back to a home buttoned having iPhone..

I am sure you'll enjoy the X! :)

Yes
I’m not new to iphone. Had it for many years. I just got bored of iOS and moved on to android and Windows. Now got bored of android and moved back to iOS

Still have my gripes about iOS. But so far liking the iPhone X. Love the feel in my hands. Still small considering the screen size. That’s one of the main reason I sold my pixel 2 (felt too narrow) and pixel 2 XL (too big)

Agreed I got tired of doing such and now will just stick with my annual upgrade with a new iPhone every year.

I've chopped and changed between phones, between android and iOs and have decided to stick to my 2 Apple phones for at least a year.

I'll barely even read the reviews of the Galaxy S9 as I know I won't be switching anytime soon. What I have is a pair of elegant Apple devices that complement each other and have different use cases.

Same with the watch - android has nothing close to it.

Hopefully you enjoy being back on IOS.

I went from the iphone 3gs, to windowsphone and stayed there for a long time - then I started to need a new phone (I loved my Lumia 950, but the app gap was real) .. Everyone around me was pushing android, so I got a galaxy s7, and after a few months I was counting down til I could jump off android again.. but finally bought out my contract and got a 8+ in December and it was a great decision.

I think I'd be more done with Best Buy than Apple. Why didn't you go return it to Apple if the camera was faulty? That's typically not a Best Buy swap but an Apple one.

Wo.... wow.... Just wow. lol. That's a lot of history right there! Only physical keyboard I had was my Droid 1 and HTC MyTouch and ... I really liked it. Oooh, nice a Razr! Lol I had a palm gifted to me just like the one you have on the bottom there.

The Blackberry keyboards will always be my favorite.

Can't use them anymore but do not have the heart to throw away.

I owned a few of them. Great for their time. Indestructible. Remember paying 10.00/mos for an "accurate" voice dictation service. And having to drive slow to let GPS stay in contact with my phone or grey, blank tiles would pop up on screen. Phones have come a long way in a few short years.

I love my iPhone X—except for notch. However, it’s an overall great phone. Lots of fantastic Android phones out there too though.

I know even I’m done and the last two years I was only getting an android phone as my secondary phone and keeping my iPhone as my daily driver. Even that’s too much hassle for me because I waste all that time and energy ordering the android phone, waiting for it to be delivered. Setting it up, getting accessories only for it to be put in a draw after 2-3 weeks and then sold after 2 months. Pointless.

Yup. I found the iPhone does everything I need since Day 1 in 2007.

Ditto. Some people get bored and switch phones and operating systems. I feel that iPhone is a tool and doing things really good after you learn how to use it.

OP, I’m curious to see how long you will last with iOS before you get bored. Lol. I’d give it a month, then you’d probably get the new Samsung S9.
