We've relayed multiple times that the Apple Back to School Promotion would be starting at any minute. Predictions starting kicking a few weeks ago with today even being a possible target date. It seems that we'll finally be seeing it launch tomorrow (June 16th), and we actually have photographic proof of the imminent launch.

The above photos were sent to us by a tipster indicating that the promotion will offer a $100 gift card that can be used in the Mac App Store, iTunes Store, App Store or iBookstore, and that it will launch tomororow.

8GB iPod touch to a $100 AppStore gift card??? That's cheap... at least Microsoft is giving out Xboxes.

Hmm, well not too bad for me since I am getting the 11" air when it updates, but a bit disappointing for my friend who is getting a MBP and was hoping to get his first iPod Touch with it.

Still better than nothing, and since it works in iTunes/App Store/Mac App Store I know i'll end up spending it over the next few months anyways.

Well, if you translate to market price, iPod Touch is a better deal, but if this $100 is well spent, it could help further along your student life, which may help you in the future too. :apple:
I couldn't wait for this and got myself a '11 MBP 2 months back. :apple: :D

Weak sauce.

Erghhh. That means the MacBook Pro is going to cost me significantly more than I had anticipated, since I was planning on selling the iPod.

Disappointing... Apple, you're so cheap.
Reconsidering now... meh.
